Well, I got bored one night and tried to reinstall BF2. I then realised that I lost my key.

So, I go to EBgames in search of another. I walk in, look around. They seem to have 0 pc games. Their walls are covered with console trash, and what do i find? I find three small foot long shelves full of used pc games. Thats all they had. RIDICULOUS!

So I walk to the walmart next door. They had more pc games than EBgames. Still, no good games, all old trash except for a few.

So then, I go to game crazy. Same situation as EBgames, except they have even less PC games. They had 4 used PC games, that is it.

WHAT THE HELL!

Gamestop, EB Games, etc, always had a crappy amount of PC games, and only carry the newest stuff. Best bet would be to just get your games online. Cheaper, and you're pretty much garenteed to find what you're looking for.

I live in Australia and it's the same issue. In one EB store the PC games are behind a pillar that holds the store ceiling up, lmao. You wouldn't even know anything was there.

There's one store, GAME, that has an okay selection, and also another store (deals mainly in electronics) that has a better PC selection than EB has.

It's pitiful, but you can usually find main releases.

Best Buy has a massive shelf of PC games where I live. All the new, latest, games too. Sometimes they have old games, but they're freaking classics.

My local Gamestop has an entire wall of PC games, just as big as the 360 selection. I've never seen any place anywhere with a better selection.

Several Gamestops in my area - and I have 4 very close to me - have progressively (or regressively) reduced dramatically the number of pc games available on the shelf. One store got rid of their entire stock, while another just keeps a very small selection of only the latest a-1 titles.

As I've stated before, the age of over the counter pc gaming is soon coming to an end. Digital distribution is the way to go now and I'm more than happy with it.

Unfortunately, I don't recall seeing BF2 availabe for download. However, you may try the publisher site as they sometimes have downloadble games.

Also, can you not contact the publisher about retrieving your key? Did you not register the game?

Hi Funny thing. Ten years ago it was just the opposite at EB and Gamestop.

Half the store was PC, about one quarter was Macintosh and the rest was console.

You could even buy hardware for your PC. AHHHH those were the days!!!!

Gamestop used to be Babbages which was the definitive PC game store. Its only since they started whoring out used console games did it go downhill. Then Gamestop bought out EB Games (they were also pc game pioneers) and screwed that store up also. Personally I refuse to shop at Gamestop under any circumstance, because every dollar someone gives them is a vote for console whoring. Besides, there is no reason to preorder unless you want a collectors edition of whatever, because bestbuy and/or walmart always have tons of copys.

In fact, i'm asking every pc gamer to not shop at Gamestop. We should be giving our money to stores who support our hobby, like Best Buy. I know our Best Buy actually has more pc games in stock than either ps3 or 360, and thats not a bad thing.

yea, well, here in canada, eh? us rich Canadians are PC gamers more than anything else. but seriously, other than EB games, which is a stupid store anyways, all the rest have PC game sections bigger than all of the consoles. especially future shop, 2 full racks double sided filled with PC games. basically any game from 2004 and newer that i want, they usually have.

Must be an american thing, in my town the biggest store has one long shelf for games, one side is dedicated solely to PC games while the other side is split between all the consoles. Tho personally I buy my games online anyway.

Same at my Best Buy. They have a whole aisle with PC games. One side has new/hardcore games adn the other has classics/kiddy games(mostly classics). I love them. The two GameStops near me suck. I only go there to get PSP games and reserve games. It's a lot easier to reserve there than a big electronics store.
