write protected :S

hey i have been searching for a while now and have still found no solution to this problem i have.

my flash memory drive has suddenly started claiming it is write protected and will not let me delete or write to it.

i have tried formatting but windows stopped me saying it was write protected grrrrr and registry changes failed to work either

so i was wondering if any of you know how to solve this problem?? thanks in advance.

Tried to plug it in another computer and formatting it there?

ok so i checked on the flash drive for a fair amount of time and found no switch and i have checked another computer and its still in write protected mode. im presuming its corrupted now is there a way of fixing this considering windows isn't even letting me format the drive. oh and i don't mind loosing the data on the drive it has already been backed up

from what ive heard there are no inexpensive ways to get the data of the drive.yoyo462001

right thanks but is there an inexpensive way of making the drive usable again with or without the data?
