Well, I installed manhunt, tried to run it, and this came up:

What does it mean and is there anything I can do about it?

Try re installing, try updating your drivers, try a restart, I'm not sure if manhunt has a patch but if it does, try that too.

Nope. Same message came up. Is there any IT guy out there who knows what the message actually means?

What it means, in a nutshell, is that something in the game in trying to call a command and isn't finding it in your C++ Runtime Library. Typically this has something to do with Kernel32.DLL, ans usually involves viruses. However, this may not necessarily be the case.

First; go and update to Direct X 9.0 http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html

Second; go and update your graphic card's drivers.

ATI:http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

NVidia:http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Third; go and downlaod and install a new set of runtime library files. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259403

Fourth and final; run a sweep with some spyware tools, such as Spybot, AdAware, and SpyWare Doctor. If you don't have SpyWare Doctor, then get it. A good scan with any online virus scanner will be fine or if you have a decent and update Anti Virus program, then use that. Also make sure to run a registry cleaner, like CCleaner. You may need to run CCleaner several times in a row to sufficiently clean out your registry.

Hopefully that will help. If not, good luck to you, as you may need to reformat your HDD and reinstall your XP for things to get back into working order.

You appear to be missing a .DLL so a reinstall would be the best bet.
