Wtf my computer is strange...

Here are the reasons why

1. To be able to play COD2 you need pentium 4 right? but i can run it with pentium 3.

2. Was able to run Total war rome when i first installed it, but after taking it off and reinstalled it, it wont run the game anymore.

3. In every 6months-year, the computer gets slow, gets faster and better graphics, worse graphics

is there something wrong with my computer? it gets random all the time.

and anyone help me with number 2?

don't torture your P III with CoD2 or most post 2003 games.

comon' guys, P III is quite solid; the last rig I bought was a P III 1G, pairing with a Geforce Ti 4800. not to mention my BG2, but also unreal 2, NOLF games, Warcraft III etc. all ran decent at 1024x768.

The graphics get better and worse? Are you sure about that? I could see the framerate being different because of dust or open programs or something.DragonfireXZ95

well i think i know why now, its because i change the screen resolution lots of times. but... the computer is still weird.

i cant play cod2 anymore wtf, when i installed it like a month ago, the framerate was so bad that i cant understand whats going on.

i been playin cod2 from 05-07with no problems and i wanted to play again 2day which is a year later, but framerate problems.

Upgrading to P4 wouldn't even help because rest of your PC would still be ancient. If you want to play never games (2002 and up), you'll need a completely new PC.

yes, if the game was fine but now unstable (slow-fast-slow), it means something wrong; most likely for older machine: too many unwanted programs infested and running on the background and hard disk that lacks mantenanc (defragment).

not really, i live with my step mom and i pretty sure she wont buy new one anyways. dont have a job neither.
