What should the temp for this card be in idle? So far that Control Center lists it as 55C. It seems a little high; can anyone let me know if that's the case?

That's fine.

ATi cards generally tolerate a lot more heat than their NVIDIA counterparts. My X1900 XTX sometimes runs temps of 96*C at load!

Good to know. See I was worried because a lot of the reviews for the card clocked the idle temp around 45C.

My card was idling around there too. I decided to use ATI Tool to up the fan speed and now it idles at around 40C. I just feel more comfortable with a lower temperature, but I probably should go back into ATI Tool and change it so my fan stops running at 70% when its not under a load.
