It seems everyone who asks for help here are impatient and bumps even when their thread is on the first page.

You have 2 choices, a component video splitter or a component video switch. A splitter is much cheaper, a switch just lets you choose which tv to use. A splitter makes more sense, and both items can be found at monoprice.com for cheap.

you can do one of three things depending on your budget: 1) Buy a manual duplex (1 in 2 out or 1x2 or greater) component switch (likely reasonably priced) and a manual audio switch (many manual switches don't switch audio as well) 2) Buy an IR controlled component switch (the switch will only operate from the remote in one room and will likely be expensive). 3) Component Video Splitter and Audio Splitter (Video quality will likely greatly be diminished at any resolution over 480p - very cheap) 4) Component Video Splitter w/ amplifier and Audio Splitter with amplifier (these devices are usually fairly expensive). The thing you have to watch out for is the cost. Often with the price of the high quality amplified splitters and duplex switches plus cables (even using cheap high quality cables like www.monoprice.com) you will likely approach the cost of a core 360.

can you give me a better link i couldnt find what you were talking about, or i had another idea. do they make a longer component video cable maybe 20 ft for the 360?  If so i can just switch it on the back of the console when i want to go to the other room

I don't know of any third party cables for the 360 that lets you reach that far, but this is a cheap splitter:

A splitter can work both ways.

"This is splitter cable. You can only connect one input device (i.e. DVD player, cable box or satellite receiver) to two output device(i.e. TV or projector). You can't connect two input device (i.e. DVD player, cable box or satellite receiver) to one output device(i.e. TV or projector)"

Read what it says, connect one input device (360) to two output devices (TV).
