Xbox 360 Controller Adaptor Help

Hi, I recently bought the adaptor for the pc to use my xbox 360 wireless controller on games. All the drivers are working fine and installed properly, I synced the controller up without problem,but when I go into oblivion to configure the controlls it won't let me select the two triggers on the controller for Attack and Block, it even won't let me use the right thumbstick to look around even though it says it! Is there a patch/update to fix this? I'm running it on ultra high graphics at 1680x1050 resolution on Windows Vista Home premium build 32 bit. Any ideas?

I haven't played oblivion with the 360 controller since i don't own the game but you can use Xpadder to map your keyboard to your controller. You can also use Pinnacle but it is a paid program. There is also another program but i'll be searching for it, i'll post if i find it.
