Maybe you cant get them to work with them games?
I have a controller aswel but use it only for new games that are under the new 'games for windows' thingy. Aparently the new games under that name have full 360 controller compatability so maybe older games were not configured to be used with it?
Can you give me a list of Microsoft's Default Xbox 360 Wired Controller Drivers? I just got a Saitek Aviator (360/pc) and it's installing the Xbox 360 controller drivers instead of allowing me to install the Saitek drivers so I can program the buttons in Saitek's profile creator. So I was just going to manually delete the 360 drivers.

I know in San Andreas, the engine does not allow you to map axis for anything. It takes the first two axis (which is usually your left thumbstick) and assumes that's the one you will be using for movement, then completely ignores every other axis. This is a limitation of the way they set it up to monitor inputs, and not a fault of the drivers.

Well, much to my chagrin, the 360 drivers overcame the XBCD drivers, much like the saitek ones, and it is not only still listed as a 360 controller, it also will not allow me to install either of the other two sets of drivers manually. Therefore, I still need a way to wipe the old 360 controller crap off my system.
