Hey, how does the 360 controller work on PC games? Do most games work with it? Can I just buy a regular 360 controller or do I need a special one specificaly for Windows? Thanks

WHY?!?!!? WHY would you watn to use a noobstick, i dont understandDr_BrocoliSome games work best with a gamepad, lol. You didnt know that?
Best PC controller out there. If you get the wireless one though, it's not readily compatible with as many old games as the wired controller.

For racing games, fighting games, sports games, platformers, and third person action games.
third person action games? are you having a giraffe?

Not at all.
Not all of them, but most of them. GTA and Tomb Raider play much better with a gamepad than with keyboard & mouse.

Yeah, that might be true and I'd even add Prototype to this, but games more like Max Payne and Gears of War are much easier to control M&KBThe chief reason I love my 360 controller is that sometimes I can glide through the game.
With my keyboard there are usually only two movement speeds: you're either walking or running. With the 360 controller on the other hand you can slow your movement down or speed it up, and there's a whole spectrum of movement speeds in between.
In Fallout 3, for example, I'll creep very slowly around corners, almost at a crawl - it's great. I tried playing Fallout 3 with the keyboard but it just felt... wrong.

Not really.*sigh*
ok then, whatever you say
I have two Xbox 360 wired controllers only because I have an Xbox. I only tried using the controller for Flight Simulator X and it worked pretty well.

Also if you want to super relax while playing a non competitive game then i would say a controller is much better for that (unless you have a stand/board for a wireless keyboard and mouse so you can lay back in a recliner and play PC games). I would say that i like the 360 controller the msot out of any i have used. It is just plug and play and has not caused any problems for me thus far. Plus i find it the most comfortable controller i have ever used (not actually joking on that).

Never used a x360 controller, but I find them kinda overpriced, especially since I rarely use a controller. For less than 20$, you can get one from another brand that will do the same work than a x360 controllers. Personally, I bought a Saytek for 3$ during a ncix sale (ok it was refurbished, but still good :D)
The 360 controller has the analog triggers. (or at least they work to that effect). Which is great for racing games since you can use the triggers to determine how hard you are pressing on the accelorator/brakes.Never used a x360 controller, but I find them kinda overpriced, especially since I rarely use a controller. Its the best and most comfortable controller to use on the PC!!
I play it with Tomb Raider Underworld, FIFA 09, PES 2009 and Alone in the Dark. Its great and also supports vibration which you can turn on and off from the options settings in the game.
It's a really go pad. Works with nearly every game and all emulators I've tried. Definately worth buying. Only bad thing is the DPAD. It's horrible. It's good especially for platforming, driving and maybe fighting games. I wouldn't play FPS/shooters with it, mouse + keyboard is so much better for them.Hey, how does the 360 controller work on PC games? Do most games work with it? It works good on PC. I use my ps3 controller and that works good too but its a chore getting it to work. I wouldn't use a controller unless you're playing something like lego starwars or an adventure game like that.
