Just a quick question here. I was wondering do wireless 360 controllers work on PC games. I wanted to play Skyrim with my 360 controller but I only have a wireless one and was wondering if those work to or do I need a wired one?

i think you need some kind of driver for it. im not sure though. if it gets annoying charging it all the time, you can get a wired one pretty cheapJust a quick question here. Wireless ones are fine but you need the wireless usb adapter so your pc can communicate with the controller (£10-ish) Most new games natively support the 360 wireless, i just tried it with skyrim and i can confirm the wireless controller works and everything is already mapped for you.
You need a wireless gaming receiver.
Whatever you do, don't even think about using a USB charge & play cable. That doesn't work. It only charges the controller, it doesn't transmit any data.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000MGVAAQ a bit expensive but worth it i also have a question, what sort of cable do i need to plug it direct into my pc? i cant seem to understand the connection it looks oddSPBoss
It should plug straight into a usb2 port seeing the cord seems non-detachable.

Yeah, now we know. He He. We looked silly trying to make the darn thing work with a charge and play cable. I mean my friend did. He was the one who wanted to play Crysis on my PC and not use the mouse/kbd.

haha i bought the 360 controller for windows kit. there was no cable included.. i wouldnt mind playing now and then with it being charged via usb whilst transmitting the data wirelessly. if that makes sense? sometimes my batt dies and i cnt always go to the shopsHow is Skryim on PC with a 360 controller? Better than keyboard and mouse?
Currently hating the keyboard and mouse in the game. My character either runs everywhere too fast, or walks and watches snails pass him by.
On kb/m you can walk, run and sprint whilst standing or crouching. What else do you need?I'd guess it's much better because the interface is so bad it must have been designed with a controller in mind. How is Skryim on PC with a 360 controller? Better than keyboard and mouse?
