Ok the moniter i use is the Asus VW224 22'' and it has both DVI and VGA inputs. I use the DVI now what i was wondering is if i bought

http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-03170-Stereo-Coupler/dp/B00007FGUF/ref=pd_bxgy_vg_text_b and

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Splitter-3-5Mm-Stereo-Female/dp/B0009JFF7K/ref=pd_bxgy_vg_text_c

how would i switch between the 360 if i had the 360 in the VGA and the Computer in the DVI. I wouldn't have to unplug anything would i?

And i'm pretty sure those 3 pieces are all i need, can anyone verify and make sure they are good? And the middle component what is used for? Is it for hooking them up to headphones instead of speakers? I really need this answered soon, can someone please help. I'd greatly appreciate it.

There are buttons on the monitor for a reason.

My Asus monitor has a button on the front, with an arrow pointing into a box with rounded sides... pushing it switches which input is used.

Edit: The middle part will allow you to hook up headphones, or speakers from your PC. If you have an audio reciever which accepts input from a 3.5mm jack you won't need it. (someone correct me if I'm wrong?).

One more question tho: I'm not very content with my moniter's audio. My two options are using my speakers or my headphones. Now if i use my headphones it would mean i can't use a mic in-game so that's not really an option. Atleast not a very good one. So my only other way is my speakers. As far as i can see i only see two places i can plug-in the plug. Either on my speakers but it's labeled "Headphones" so im sure that wouldn't work ( or would it?) or my Logitech G110, i don't think id be able to plug it in there either because it's where i plug my headphones ( because of the sound card in there) but then again it's green so it might work? What do you guys think? Those 2 options or the back of the case?

Green is for audio input, do not connect microphones to that.

Im talking about plugging the audio of the cords but i think you answered my question indirectly. Thank you :)

i am going to be doing exactly the same thing over the wekend. got a friend moving back in and giving her my old PC and LCD monitor to use. gonna have the PC running on DVI, her xbox 360 on VGA and the VGA audio cables coverting down to 3.5mm to some speakers/headphones
