Hey,

I'm looking at hooking up my 360 to a monitor and have the cables ordered. I have a LG Flatron L192WS and wonder what 360 resolution I would set it at to use this. I'm not too tv/monitor savvy with resolutions so help would be greatly appreciated (sp?).

Thanks a lot!

the max resolution you can play is the monitors max res. i googled your monitor. its 1440 by 900 max. it'll look good dont worry. just never waste your money on a 1080p monitor unless its 50 inch plus. people sometimes buy 1080p 24 inch computer monitors expecting a big jump ore something.

Whether 1080p is worth it depends on the viewing distance. At regular tv viewing distance, of course 1080p is not worth it at 24", but when you're viewing it from 2ft away on a desk, 1080p is fine for 24".

There're only a number of resolutions that the 360 can do over VGA. 1360x768 is the closest to the native of 1440x900.

Get your facts straight.

hopefully MS supports some more resolutions with the dec 4th dash update. As dman suggests, 1360x768 should be your best bet for now.
