Hey all - I'm using my wireless Xbox 360 controller with Windows games, for the first time, and I'm getting a weird issue. In Marvel Ultimate Alliance, my button presses don't correspond with the right things. For instance, I have to press B in order for an A action to take place. The shoulder buttons also seem disjointed.

Any help?

I'm just guessing, but can't you go into the settings in the game and remap the buttons?

Well, I can, but it still ends up backwards in a way. Meaning, if the on-screen thing says to hit "A", even if I've mapped B to A it still ends up being wrong, because then the system things A is B.

Weird. I did some googling and found this. It sounds like you have to download a driver from MS to make it work. If you've already done that...well...I'm all out of ideas.

"The Xbox 360 Controller for Windows retail product will include a driver for Windows XP-based PCs. The wired Xbox 360 Controller, which comes with the core Xbox 360 system, will also work on Windows XP-based computers after users download the available driver from Microsoft. The Controller has a 9-foot breakaway controller cable that plugs into a standard USB port."

I have this exact problem, expect using a Wired controller. Tried all drivers, MS, XBCD 360, nothing. Help would be nice.

Is this exact same problem on the same game?

There is no good drivers for this controller and it happens to everyone with a xbox wireless controller that I heard of. The only way to make it work is to use a key mapper (google it) that will remap your controller to the keys of your keyboard.
