hey i was wondering if a custom build pc with xfx 9500 GT and a xfx 730a motherboard with a amd 5000+ is a good setup for gaming (such as doom 3, half life 2, crysis warhead ect.)

i suggest AT LEAST a 9600 gt. you cpu is okay if you are on a tight buget and this belongs in hardware forums, youll get more help there:)

don't buy anything less than an 8800gt if you want to game and not have to upgrade for a while. 9600gt is worse than the 8800gt and the prices are pretty close. If you have more money go for a 9800GTX+

If you're a heavy gamer, go for nvidia cards with the numberings x600, x800, etc on each series. Don't go for x500s, they may be big on video RAMs but their gpu is too weak to even fully utilize them. Besides, they're not meant for heavy-duty gaming and will frustrate you to no end.
