I'm looking to get this card to replace my 9400gt. All i need to know is, will it max Team Fortress 2 and will it be able to play prototype on High? I currently have tf2 on normal high with no AA and prototype on the lowest.

86OOGT is outdated. Get this for $89.99. Plus it comes with a copy of Call of Duty: World at War, which is a $50 value.

no that card is unable to max tf2 and unable to run prototype on high...I'd recommend a GTS250

It doesn't answer your question. You asked: will it max Team Fortress 2 and will it be able to play prototype on High? And the answer was (correctly): NO. Which is why people so kindly referred you to better cards for nigh the same cost.

That TF2 video was on max settings. I don't care too much about Prototype, but i can get 2 of these for the less than the price of say an 8800gt and do sli.

you're not getting the point...you don't future proof by putting in two old 8600gts to SLI...you should make sure your mobo does SLI first of all then go with a newer card and only when you NEED to sli then you do it...SLI-ing old cards just to get a game to run is just preparing yourself to waste money

and try not to be so disrespectful people were only giving their opinions and they did tell you that card would not be able to do what you wanted...calm down and actually read people's posts.

Don't listen to him Kenwyne. You go ahead and not pay attention to anyone's advice and spend more money on two outdated 8600gt's than on a more powerful 9800GT that also includes a $50 game. Who are we to give you advice in a forum where you asked for it?

The OP is being ignorant buying an outdated card, when you can spend you money much more wisely, whatever his money not ours.
