XFX geforce 9600 problems

hey i just upgraded my comp with 500 w psu 1 gig of ddr sdram and the xfx geforce 9600 w/ cod4

andi have these problems when i plugged inn the card and started up the Card made and very loud and high pitched noise .

they said the solutuion was to plug in the 6 pin connector to the card from the psu ,i did and it stopped whining

but then it would show me the startup screen then give me a black screen

note i already disabled my old ati x200 intergrated. but i had to put it back up so i could boot up again

my specs

amd 3500+ ( is my mother board the problem)

500 w psu

hp pavilion media center a1210n

200 hdd

1.5 gig ram

I'd upgrade your psu to at least a 600 watt. But before you buy anything, tried updating your graphics drivers. You never know...

Side note - good idea to plug in a 6 pin connector...your card will run like crap w/o it.

no i already did that and besides i cant boot up so how can i get the drivers

and 500w is the recommended psu minimum is 400w

I CANT GET ON THE WINDOWS SCREEN so i CANT get any drivers

is there anything i should do on the bois menu

please guys i cant find anything i really need an answer because i ve have been trying to fix this for 12 hours STRAIGHT. and also i really want to play cod4 i mean come on .

hmmm i had the same issue twice....

first i bought a new 1GB ram stick and installed it with my old 1GB ram it worked for like a week then the black screen issue started to happen...so i tried removing the old ram and didn't work then i removed the new ram and the issue was gone..so maybe one of your Ram sticks are defect.

the Second time was when i bought a new EVGA !680 motherboard and i had the same issue so after a lot of trying i knew that the motherboard was defect after taking it to a big computer store to check it...so the best thing you can do now is to take your computer to computer experts....maybe a famous or good computer shop maybe they will know what is the deal with your compute....i hope your problem get solved.

guys its no more of an issue i dont know what i did but its fine it finally detected it on the windows screen and cod4 works like a charm
