"I am tired so this is going to be short". So I was just wondering if my AMD 6000+ CPU would bottleneck this card at all and if so how badly. Thanks :D

Thanks for the response, but I find it hard to believe that it would bottle neck the card that badly.

It won't bottleneck it at all in most games, and will in some, like Far Cry 2, Supreme Commander, Prototype, GTA IV and so on... But that is a small bottleneck. In all other games you won't notice a difference between your CPU and Phenom II 955 (for example), the strongestgamingCPU.

That is a decent system. Again, I say that your CPU will bottleneck only whenplaying games optimized for quads.

Anything else will run like a champ.

Your CPU is going to lower your framerate somewhat in the average game, and will be problematic in a handful of games like Dawn of War II, Supreme Commander, and Crysis - otherwise you should be alright.

Thanks, so I really shouldn't worry about any severe performance loss. On top of the underlying question I was also wondering if this card with my current CPU would be a substantial upgrade over my old BFG 8800gt (it died).

Haha, a huge amount of users goes from 8800 to 4890 (like me) expecting an upgrade. I am sorry to tell you that I wasn't happy a little bit with that card, but you probably will be. I guess I was expecting to max every game butter smooth like I did when 8800GT came out.

After a little researching on this card, apparently it is supposed to be like 2.5 times faster then a single 8800gt which surprised me, so what do you guys think.
