I had a friend who played XIII several years ago and said it was a blast to play. It looks like an innovative game, but it got more-or-less mediocre reviews all around. What do you guys think? Worth trying?

I just bought it, because I found it for five dollars! So.. I suggest you buy it, even if the worst review it got was most accurate, it's still an FPS, still is pretty unique, and is worth at least skipping a meal at mcdonalds, if you ask me. I'm enjoying it so far, though, the plot seems decent, some fun movie/comic style drama. Pretty unique to me, and I've played my share of FPSes.

Yeah, it looks like it's worth a try considering the price tag.

I played it and enjoyed it. the comic book style is cool, but it doesn't break any new ground. It also has Starforce...boo...hiss

I don't know about the Starforce part, but XIII is a fun game. Some might say it its very innovative, but I think it is. I think its one of the only FPS games to have a comic book feel. It's pretty good, and considering the price, it would be a travesty not to get the game. Go for it!

It's worth getting and it can be found, as someone said above, for the price of a McHappy meal.

The cell-shaded graphics give it a different feel to other FPS games, and it's got a decent storyline.

Get it and enjoy.

At Chandu -- Naw, Jet Set Radio came out before it, and there's likely a few before that as well. Still, XIII looks worth a shot to me. I'm sure gonna give it a go when I pass the bargain bin.

The demo shows the first level, which is just.. so plain and uninventive. The second level has a lot of sneaking and action mix, and shows a bunch of stuff you can actually do in the game. The first level was just.. walk around.. shoot guy.. cool screen-in-screen comic type animation.. The one I bought definitely does not have starforce, but it does have a really annoying type of anti-hack thingy..

Basically, it asks for any of the four cds when you first start, like normal, which you can easily crack, but it also asks for a specific cd when you first start the actual first level (cd 2), which is pretty stupid and aggrivating, because it asked for it right after I cracked it and put the CDs in the box and put the box all away and stuff : p

I woulf definetaly get it. It's cheap and I thought it was really good. Ok it was nothing ground breaking but the gameplay was fun and the story was great. I also like the graphics which are a different from most FPS. Well worth it.

Fuinny you should ask, i saw this game when it first came out and liked but I never got around to buying it and thought that I'd missed my chance.  Luckily I found it last week at my local EB for a price that meant that even if it suced it wouldn't be that bad.

As it turns out it's a lot of fun and I wish I 'd bough it when it first came out.

Never heard of those games man, but I thought XIII was pretty good. I mean, there wasn't anything particularly wrong with that I could find. It's not revolutionary, but how many games are, eh? :D

Ha-ha! Yeah, you need the second disc to play the game man. Even after cracking :D
