[QUOTE="Dealge"]Better question: why are you using a joystick on a PC?kmagika
some games play better with a controller imo. i personally only use a keyboard and mouse with rpgs, fps ans rts
Have to say best anwser to that is on PC you can if you want to use mouse/keyboard you can if you want to use game pad you can. and everyone knows, pending on your PC rig, graphics will always beat out consoles graphics wise. and the games are always cheaper then console. you can hook up todays GFX card to HDTV or even anolog TV's play your fav game with a controller. xbox controllers are supported by almost every game released on PC and work as well as it would on console. you can even buy a xbox 360 controller ment for "xbox" pug it into your PC and waa la works like a charm. so question is why are you using a xbox in the 1st place? media has got ye all griped by the dangglies if you ask me lol.
last thing as it will prolly come up: they are trying to limit PC users cuz they are losing money to PC releases bioshock for one and lastest Ghostbusters they limited the multiplayer to xbox and PS3.
Yea i use my Keyboard + mouse on FPS, crysis ect and rts like CNC3 and stuff like prototype but i use Xbox wired control for stuff like transforemers 2 which has absolutily crap controls you have to hold ctrl and shift and then let go of shift while still holding ctrl just to jump it easlier just pressing A
Hello there!
For those who wants to play with any joystick, just download this file http://www.tocaedit.com/IB/index.php?automodule=downloads&showfile=4 , extract it to executable folder on your disk. With the joystick plugged on PC, run the file XInputTest and see if it matches with your joystick buttons.
The program emulates a xbox360 controller, so it works.
Sorry for the english.

Yes, thank you the two people who pointed the way to the XBOX Controller Emulator! It not only allows proper functioning of the analog sticks on my generic Saitek pad but also, now the game knows I'm using a pad instead of emulated mouse and keyboard, the controls have changed to be more pad friendly...
The camera now automatically adjusts itself for better viewing angle as you move around the city, the targeting system is much easier to control and vehicle controls map to different buttons.
One thing though, I did have to edit the INI file because when I first started using it a load of the buttons were wired up the wrong way round and my right analog stick had it's X and Y axes swapped
yo!! im sry I didnt keep track of this!!I have the profile for prototype!!arkham asylum..and now working on Street fighter 4!!I use six axis controller!!anybody need the config ping me!!or mail me at boo_iggers@hotmail.com..since ive changed Addy!! I couldnt keep track of the request!!
Well how about games like MGS4- Best game of the year 2008- and the upcoming GOW 3, Halo and so many console games which are really great. I have a gaming pc aswell as ps3 and games like prototype where you have many controls and options are better to be played with a joystick than a keyboard..since there are so many keys in the keyboard lol. It is more comfy! yes I play pc games using keyboard..like CS..COD..etc. However if you don't own a xbox or ps3 you are really missing out on so many high definition games out there!!cheers!!
