Yay, Turok was released... I think. Requirements included, and a big wtf too.

Well I browsed some forums and people have it, it seems to have been released yesterday.

So I may have something interesting to do in the Easter day, if it ships in my city.

BUT

The requirements are:

Pentium 4 clocked at 2.4Ghz

1 GB of RAM

GeForce 6600 with 128 memory

and

18 freakin' gigabytes free

I heard Turok was pretty linear so it can't be an open world that requires such high requirements.. maybe the big dinosaurs have LOTS of detail.

Yes.. that's really too much space requirement for any game. & what's with the minimum Gpu requirements ? 6600 Gt with 128 mb ? i don't think it's possible. This game uses Unreal 3 engine.. and like all other game's powered by UE 3 engine.. this too is gonna run at a slideshow speed on 6600 card. The devs should release a demo.s_emi_xxxxx

Bah, I saw anything worse than a 7600 can't run it properly on low and the lowest resolution is 1024*768.

And the UE3 tweaks don't work.

And there are only 5-6 options.

And you have to restart the game after changing anything.

And it ships on two DVDs.

And it installs some files for PS3 and 360.

Etc etc.

Bad port confirmed, and my Easter may be ruined again.

Um the game is 12GB when i looked in the size of dvd i said:HOLY S***!!

Totally agree, average hdd nowadays is 160+ gb, so finding extra 18 gigs is no problem. Just blowing things out of proportion for no reason...
