Although I have managed to build a computer before, I completely suck when it comes to picking parts. I need some advice on building a new PC, preferably with the ability to run upcoming 2008 games on max settings (or atleast 2007 games .. CRYSIS!). Here are some details:

- The budget is 1500$ max. Can not be stretched by even one dollar!
- Already have a monitor, speakers, keyboard/mouse, etc.
- Price should only cover the desktop itself and any other required software (OS, Antivirus, etc).
- No over-clocking if possible please.
- Flexibility for future upgrades.

Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

Why someone would get e6750 now instead of the e8400 ?? The second one is only acouple bucks more and you will get more than what you pay for

And why should he get the 8800GT then? The E8400 is slightly more expensive than the 6750 just like how the 512 8800GTS is slightly more expensive than the 8800GT and is overall much better. So why would you not advice him to get the GTS?O ya i see you have the 8800GT and dont want him to get a better card than you.

Fantastic. You also own an 8800GT and did not botther to mention the 8800GTS 512MB to the TC who is obviously not up to date with hardware.

an 8800GTS 512MB might blow the piggybank up. :| I'd rather stay true to the initial budget price ok. The 8800GT 512MB does all that. The 8800GTS, not so much. Plus the GTS is going to cost you more on the power bills. Think about it in the long run...

My goodness dude, why the blimming heck am I getting blasted for trying to keep this PC all under 1500, unno what, let's say he should go with a 8800GTS 768 Ultra! That way he can get even more FPS and it's only a little bit more! Plus a 32'' Samsung LCD, and a Penryn CPU + 128 GB of RAM running under Windows Vista x64, let's not forget that Thermaltake 1200w PSU and a nice 4 Terrabytes of HDD! Let's also suggest a 7.1 Sony Surround Sound Sytem so just in case there's a guy in CS 7 miles away he'll be able to hear his footsteps!
