ok so i have a quad core amd cpu @ 3.2 speed(am3),i also have a GeForce GTX 550 Ti video card,i have a really bad motherboard and ram,i have 3 gigs of ddr3 ram and my pc cant handle witcher 2 on max but it can handle games like starcraft 2 and bad company on max settings,so would these upgrades allow me to play battlefield 3 on high settings?

witcher two is a monster..i thibk you need a gtx580 to max it. a 4-6gb ram setup can help.i dont getting a better mother is gonna get you better game performance.

Yes, but you should never have gotten the GTX 550. There are much better cards, for the same price.

awww yeah i should have asked but my old card gave out so i just got thta one for a temp replacement,so u think im good to go with the motherboard and ram

go for a mobo that supports 6.0gb/s.the ram is fine.

You would be better off getting an AM3+ motherboard, so it can support Bulldozer, if you decide to upgrade in the future. What CPU do you have?

if you want to be more stable on witcher 2, you should have at least a 560Ti or similar Radeon card...also if you're getting a mobo upgrade, get a mobo that is AM3+ for an upgrade path to Bulldozer like ^^ said....also when purchasing RAM make sure it's the same clock speed and preferably the same manufacturer as the sticks you have now (are you adding these sticks, or are they gonna replace the sticks you have now?)
