So I'm leaving to go to work at Best Buy very shortly and I'm in the mood for a new game. Either FPS or RPG. I own Oblivion, Morrowind, Guild Wars, WoW, I'm tired of all those. I guess I'm more looking for an awesome FPS, I've had my eye on Battlefield 2 or 2142 or maybe F.E.A.R., multiplayer will win me over. I want something more than your typical deathmatch or capture the flag. Any other opinions are appreciated. I just bought Dark Messiah and it won't run. The idea of Dark Messiah sounded really fun, unfortunately it's not liking my rig, eventhough I surpass the recommended settings, I don't get it. Oh well, tell me what to buy!
Half-life 2 is a great choice to buy because when you get it you get the most popular fps counter strike source and hl deathmatch. or there is cs 1 anthology which is older game but great, comes with cs 1.6 , counter strike cz , and counter strike cz deleted scenes witch is the singer player version with story mode and skirmish modes. I would say the cs series is of the most popular fps games in the world
for some reason hl2 and cs are a turn off to me, haha.i have no idea why, just have absolutely no desire to play them. thansk for the input though, i'll keep it in mind.

OKay, in all seriousness, if you haven't played Halflife 2, you haven't lived life yet, and are not a computer gamer. That's the must have game of the last decade. No bones about it.
if youre looking for something more then just dm or cpt in a shooter--have you tried a splinter cell title w/multiplayer? if noti highly recommend...however i havent played past 'pandora tomorrow' so i cant speak for later releases in the series.

that might be true but think of all the great multiplayer mods like The hidden (predator type game humans vs on esuper beeing awsome) iron grip (RTS/FPS one commander who builds and commands units and 3 FPS sgt.s that are givin men to control to defet the other team), and who could forget goldeneye 007 sourse (N64 game redone amazing) if you want an infinite ammount of original game buy half life 2, P.M me and ill give you a nice list of great mods
lol FEAR is free . The multiplayer is anyway don't buy a game when you can play the MP for free. I own the actual game because I liked the singleplayer but I just felt like pointing that out incase you wanted to get a free great multiplayer expierence and send that 30 dollars cash on something extra.
Best Buy is overpriced for most things, but you shop at Circuit City?! Even higher prices on games. Have fun with that. Dark Messiah 30 at BB, 60 at Circuit City, for example.
good choice man.....been playing BF2 for a good amount of time.....i'm gonna get 2142 this week to check it out....see how the new titan more is....and compare it myself to the great BF2142 :D
