Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven
This was the game the made me fall in love with PCs. God I miss those times in the 90's!

Ooooh man, this is a tough one.
Dune 2 (1992 I think)
C&C (1995)
Total Annihilation
SW: Dark Forces
Tie Fighter
Aces over the Pacfic
but I think Halflife is my favorite, not only because its an amazing game in its own right, but also because it was my first online gaming experience and spawned many great mods.
DIABLO is still my favorite game of all time. You should play it if you didn't yet.
Starcraft was pretty good too.
Half-Life, Nba Live Series, Fallout series, Baldur's Gate. That's all i remember right now.
Dune 2 made me aware of PC gaming (2nd grade, 1992)
Warcraft2 and Duke Nukem/Doom impressed me (5th grade, 1995)
Starcraft and Counterstrike made me addicted(9th grade, 1999)
Crysis/UT3/Starcraft2/and others make me look forward to more PC gaming(currently junior in college)
System Shock 1
Descent
Rise of the Triad
Wolf3D
Doom 1 (available through Id itself.. came with a nice strat guide too...)
Subwar 20xx I forgot the last two digits.. kick butt game though!
Terminator Rampage
Skynet (Bethesda)
Bioforge (Origin)
The Dig (Lucas Arts)
Full Throttle (ditto)
X-wing was awesome when it came out. I remember my 386 with 4mb of ram it being all choppy lol. I went out and bought a 486 with a whopping 8mb of ram and it ran sweet as hell.
The first Rainbow Six was revolutionary as well.

Had a nice DX/2 as well.. :) Funny how you practically had to "build" your comp back then.. it came with no OS.. no restore CDs... no CD drive.. no soundcard.. etc..
Now we are like little spoiled children .. people still come onto these boards crying that PC gaming is sooo expensive..
BTW, did you slap on that Overdrive processor onto your 486? I went out n bought that so I could slap Windows 95 on the poor thing.. lol
ok wtf why didnt it add my comment just the quote
well anyways my gansters can play on xp and id have to say half life and cs
Oh god, what sweet memories and a boat load of games.
Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe
Wing Commander series
Wolfenstein
Loom
Doom
Quake + Team Fortress
Dark Forces
HL1

Dude, you are my new best friend. I would have named every one of those in the EXACT same order!
shadow warrior,duke nukem,interstate 76 nitro pack,descent freespace,full throttle,total annihilation,doom 1,2
as much as all the games mentioned have rocked in one way or another i have to mention some of my fav BBS games of the 90's.
how about Trade Wars?
or Legend of the Red Dragon, and to a lesser extent Usurper
STUDD's and STUDDETS (those where both quite entertaining to my middle school mind)
and the grand daddy of them all MajorMUD. man i can't even calcualte the number of hours i spent playing that game. hours spent searching FTP sites for a new BBS that didn't have players that had already aquired all the good items. heck it even introduced me to basic programming when i learned to make scripts to level up may character while i was at school. that game alone is the reason i give WOW players so much slack, i've been there man......i've been there....
