Your Ideal MMO?

I'd like to see a space oriented MMO. Where entire guilds could cruise the universe in their own ship(s). Imagine walking around in a giant cruiser with all you're guild members. The ships could be customizable, built by the guild masters and "engineers", sort of like that turn based space RTS (can't member the name). There would be professions like smugglers, officers, ship engineers, guildmasters, politicians fighters etc. There would be planets, where maybe mayors could layout towns and start up cities. There would be crafting professions so weapons, armor and the like can be made and sold at real players shops.

I can dream can't I?

Mass Effect sounds pretty similiar to that... except its not on a mmo but offline RPG.

The idea of walking around a ship filled with guild mates is cool but think about it again. If you are not the captain you can't set the direction of travel. As an "officer" what do you exactly do? Bark at lower ranked guildmates? Is it really someone's job to scrub the decks or whatever space equivilent there is?matthewjackman

but, if you all had your own ships(in the capital ships hangar), you could take off whenever you wanted, fly your own ship into battle, and come back to repair/reload. and the 'officers' could have a group of ships at thier command (like a semi-permanent party?), to take on other squadrons or 'boss' NPCs.

so far ive only played 'free' MMOs, but i would pay to play a game like this, if a company did it right.

Probably a Star Wars mmo where you choose to be a Sith or a Jedi thakang

My ideal MMO would be a decent one that you payed per minute or per month, depending on how much you played!
