Most Memorable GOTY: Minecraft.
Yes, I know that it's been overhyped, but it truly is something I know I will remember fondly years from now.
Most Forgettable GOTY:StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
Don't get me wrong, the game is brilliant, but people will forget about it the second Part 2 comes out...

For me the most memorable game has to be Fallout New Vegas...probably because is the most recent one that ived purchased...
And the least memorable...well to be honest i forgot the name of it :D
Most Memorable: Starcraft 2. It's a great game. The campaign was the best I've played in any RTS. So much variety, so much so I think future RTS will finally take notice and move away from the bog-standard mission of "start from scratch, build and destroy the enemy base(s)" ad nausium.
Least Memorable: I forgot... :P

As much as i love your list kozzy..You said yourself that gothic 4 wasnt that bad..It has its moments..Its not that bad a game..
Most Memorable : Red Dead Redemption and New Vegas
Most Forgettable : Kane and Lynch 2, Front Mission Evolved.
Most Meh: Mass Effect 2. - It didn't do much for me. It's not bad but considering how much it's praised...
Oh yeah, that too, i played it on my friend's x360, suprisingly good for its price an better than most multiplats outhere. Eagery waiting for th ps3 version so i can get it. A pc version wouldnt hurt either. Most Memorable: Deadly Premonition (Seriously, this 20 dollar game made with a very low budget beats almost everything released this year for 60 dollars IMO.)

MOst memorable: Amnesia: The Dark Descent.Same_Jeans_OnThis. Forgettable: Star Trek Online. I played the open and closed beta then still bought the Deluxe Version... WTF was I thinking?
Is this some kind of joke? Deadly Premonition was terrible in almost every way. Controls, graphics, overall game design. The only "Good" thing about it was its story. And even then it isn't good as in it's well written, since the underlying story is in fact not very good and feels like a kid with downs syndrome wrote it after going on a Twin Peaks binge, but it's entertaining in that kind of "B-Movie" way. But really, trying to actually play that game is one of the worst forms of torture I can think of.Most Memorable: Deadly Premonition (Seriously, this 20 dollar game made with a very low budget beats almost everything released this year for 60 dollars IMO.)

I didn't play too many games that were released this year thanks to being sucked into Dragon Age. If I could choose one that wasn't released this year it would be Batman: Arkham Asylum otherwise Mass Effect 2.

I would love a PC version, but it didn't sell well so I wouldn't count on it. Besides, I can't imagine myself playing Deadly Premonition with KB&M.
Also, do you know that the japanese version is almost completely in english? (The text is in japanese, not that you need to read a lot to play the game though).

OMG POOR GRAPHICS AND ANKWARD CONTROLS, THE GAME SUCKS! *sigh*
And it's shocking how people can take most game plots as amazing yet this one is bad.

...what kind of reply was that? If a game plays badly, it's a bad game. Simple as that. Gameplay is more important than story.[QUOTE="KillerJuan77"][QUOTE="kieranb2000"]Is this some kind of joke? If you're looking for a great story, you shouldn't be playing games. Try reading a book or watching a movie.PC-wise... Most Memorable: Cities XL 2011 (despite the bugs, still mile ahead of the original, and I'm a Land Use Planner, so...)
Forgetable: Sorry, but Fallout NV. It just didn't pull me in
And remember this isn't my best or favorite game list, just ones that left (or did not) a memorable impression.

So far I have only purchased....2 games on the PC this year I think. One of them is a few years old now lol. So I will have to use it as mine, as it is new to me
Most memorable: Bad company 2
Least memorable: Bioshock
I have yet to play so many of these raved about games. I wanted to give Mass Effect (1 and 2) a try, but its discouraging when I know things that happen in the story before playing it.
I have not played a single 2010 release for my PC this year. :P Actually I've only played a few 2010 releases: Super Mario Galaxy 2, Halo: Reach, Bayonetta, Final Fantasy XIII and Black Ops, but those are all console. On my PC this year I ended up with Dragon Age: Origins, Prey, Doom 3, Mirror's Edge, Crysis and Crysis Warhead, so I'll pick from that list if people don't mind, and if they do well, whatever. :P I'll skip Doom 3 since that was last-gen though.
Most Memorable GotY- Dragon Age: Origins. The game is freaking epic! Hopefully DA2 won't be dumbed down for consoles. Please don't dumb it down, BioWare.
Least Memorable GotY- Prey. Fun while it lasts and I paid like $10 for it, but I don't even remember what I did in it. :P

DAO came out 2009 not 2010

Because that's just YOUR personal opinion, the majority disagrees

Nope, shooting was a mess, it did not even made sense. The ai did not even take cover and the shooting was all over the place and the menus were stupid, click this, click that. Especially the menus were bashed by many. Or does mass effect have good shooting and menus? Because if the majority thinks that, then the majorityn must not have played many third person shooters or rpgs. Please Log In to post.
