Your thoughts on the new Blizzard game...

So what do you guys think it will be ? And what do you WANT it to be ?

I personally hope it will be Starcraft 2, what about you guys ?

Since all of the clues lead to the conclusion that it will be a MMO, I am going to say it will be a Stracraft MMO.Johnny_Rock

I thought it was more than clues... didnt they unofficialy announce it already?

Then a Diablo MMO?  It's definately a MMO.  If you go to Blizzards site and look at the jobs section, you will see they are mass hiring people for a "next gen MMO".

There are no "clues" pointing to a starcraft MMO. There are many korean news websites reporting that its Starcraft 2. (which I hope it will be.)

The MMO rumor is getting mixed in with all the starcraft 2 rumors. Blizzard isn't "mass hiring". There are 3 job openings. 1 for Lead Engine Programmer, Lead Tools Prgrammer, and Lead Technical Artist. All of those jobs are for when you first start working on a game... You don't announce a game and then start working on the engine, tools, and art for it. Its not a MMO I can pretty much guarantee that. Blizzard isn't going to release something to compete with WoW when they dominate the market right now.

Well. That and the fact that at the TBC launch they were 'excited' to return with Starcraft. Soon after announcing a new MMO.

I think the MMO won't be SC2, but it will be announced at Min-E3.

As long as it isn't WoW. I'll buy it. 1071 hours of that game, I think I'm ready for my next serving.

I just want a good singleplayer / free multiplayer game. I don't want to have to pay a subscription fee for every damn game I play.

Indeed. Thats why I'm not bothering with WOW. I'm sure its an incredible game but I'm not going to pay for the monthly fee. Its scary to think how much money they've made over people signing up for that game.

I tried it and didn't like it... it required far more time than I have.

I think the next gen mmo is in the pipes and also they have been looking for rts levle designers like many months ago and i hope its starcraft 2 also i think evey day it will highlight a new game and show new box art on their sight untill the new one dont you guys think so?

the event is in S Korea no? everybody knows that Starcraft is like a religion there...... so it is pretty sure it will be some Starcraft realm game, but i'm afraid  is going to be another mmo

Please no StarCraft MMO, sick of all that WoW stuff.  

An MMO, would piss off all those loyal fans (like me) they made with StarCraft.

I just hope they keep that awesome map editor.  One of the only reasons people still play it.  Im still wondering why no other RTS (other than Warcraft) developer would make one just like it.

Right--enraged Warcraft fans sure delivered commercial defeat for WoW. It would be monumentally idiotic for Blizzard to venture a second time into such risky territory. I mean, think of all the trunks of cash they have to earn--oh, I mean lose.

Well, either way, this probably isn't the game for me. Reasons:

- I never was a big Starcraft fan

- I never was a big Warcraft fan, either

- I hate MMOs

- I dug the Diablo games, but I feel like I'm over them. If the new game is Diablo-related, and by some chance it's not an MMO, it's possible I'd be interested, but there'd have to be some really exciting and cool stuff in the works.

In all honestly, it's been years and years since Blizzard has turned out a game I've cared about.
