There was a thread like this a few months ago, but I thought I'd expand it a bit. Give answers for the following:

1. A game that has changed your life

2. Your favorite quote from a game

3. A moment in game that triggered a profound emotional responce

4. A moment in a game that you found awesome (as in awe-inspiring)

5. The most suprising thing you've found in a game

*NEW*

6. What game character is most like you?

Here's my list:

1. Quest for Glory 1, which was really the first RPG I played. I never played a game before where you could watch the character you played change over time. You went from a weakling nobody to hero of the realm. Yes, this concept was nothing new at the time, and isn't exactly rare these days. But for a ten-year-old, it was very remarkable. I have no doubt that it changed the way I looked at my life, and how I approach challenges.

2. From Quest for Glory 1, as you leave the safety of the town for the first time: "The breeze is cool, but you feel a shiver deeper than
just the cold. You are on your own in a very dangerous place."

3. Homeworld mission 3, where you arrive back at your home planet to find that it is burning, and realize that you are all that is left of your entire race. I've never felt so cold, alone, and frightened. I nearly wept. :?

4. Riding in that metal pod through the citadel in Half Life 2.

5. The end of HL2: Episode 2. I mean...wow.

6. Max Payne. I'm waaaay too moody.

1. A game that has changed your life quite possibly Quake II, introducing me to shooters, which are my very favorite genre.

2. Your favorite quote from a game "Are you insulting my monkey?!"

3. A moment in game that triggered a profound emotional responce The ending of Half-Life 2: Episode Two.
Eli Vance was an interesting character and I liked him a lot because of his familiar behavior and his good-spiritedness. When he died, it was shocking, especially since you ACTUALLY GOT TO SEE IT HAPPEN
4. A moment in a game that you found awesome (as in awe-inspiring) Running away from the first Gargantua in Half-Life towards the generator. Man, that moment still frightens me, even after I played it over 11 times!

5. The most suprising thing you've found in a game Surprising? I dunno.

1. A game that has changed your life

Hype: The Time Quest. I'll never forget when my brother and I played it...the idea of time-traveling in a game was new to me, and watching the world and characters change in each era was amazing.

2. Your favorite quote from a game

The entire script of Space Quest 1-6 :P ? Hmm...one that stands out from KQ8 " Loe! This door has no substance!"

3. A moment in game that triggered a profound emotional responce

First time I played Cave Story, I didn't get the tow rope...I cried, then beat the game, then cried again when they went back to that scene during the credits. Bugged me for days until I went back and beat it properly. Hype the time quest also had some emotional moments, but I haven't played it in so long I can't remember a specifc moment.

4. A moment in a game that you found awesome (as in awe-inspiring)

Populous the Beginning. The last level.
The only game with a true god mode; you could use magic attacks anywhere on the map and the shaman was litterally in the heavens (and invincible).
5. The most suprising thing you've found in a game

Can't really think of something too surprising, but in Arx Fatalis, in the dwarven mines, right after you enter the destroyed the theater...

1. A game that has changed your life

 • Non-PC - Super Mario World - brought me to playing games.
 • PC - Starcraft. It got me very much interested in RTS, something that Myth couldn't do. The level editor also somewhat brought me to mods, but definitely appreciate the work and time put in maps, scenarios and mods made by other people.

2. Your favorite quote from a game

 • Too many to choose from HK-47 from KOTOR

3. A moment in game that triggered a profound emotional responce

 • I was disturbed with SWAT 4's mission where some perv locked up some girl in his basement.

4. A moment in a game that you found awesome (as in awe-inspiring)

 • Far Cry's Scenary

5. The most suprising thing you've found in a game

 • Incomplete, unfinished or mediocre games can still be endless fun with friends. I learned that with UT demo, StarCraft Spawn and Dungeon Runners on free account.
