Hey guys, I made this topic so I can find out what is your wish game. And by wish game I mean a game that you would love to see coming out, but it is very rare that it might happen. Let me start:

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas 2 - PC/Xbox 360/Playstation 3

Do agree on the well optimized arma 3 notion.

But my dream game would be either some epic incridebly long fantasy game based on the shannara universe books by Terry brooks. Or a steller 4x space game with good graphics and customizable ships and capital ships who feel like capital ships.

Diablo 3 and it'll be here sooner or later. Anything else I want was crushed by mediocre sequels or have sequels already announced, but D3 stands at the top.

Any of the following would absolutely thrill me. Caveats are that they have to be the same genre of the predecessor game, (for example, The Old Republic is NOT a true successor to the Knights of the Old Republic franchise since it is being made as an MMO instead of a true WRPG), the game has to be given a good budget and have plenty of development time to be polished and finished, and it has to be done by a developer that is going to respect and be consistent with the source material. (No abominations like what happened between Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 where Michael Laidlaw spit all over the Dragon Age franchise) 1. A sequel to Planescape: Torment Perhaps the greatest game of all-time. The only game that I've ever rated a perfect 10. 2. A sequel to Star Control 2. (I enjoyed Star Control 3, but it doesn't count. Needed more development time and inputs from the original developers.) 3. Knights of the Old Republic 3 4. Jade Empire 2 Take your pick.

Persistant world zombie first-person survival RPG, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. level ballistic realism with Minecraft/Red Faction Guerilla level world manipulation.

Someday.

EDIT: Don't forget multiplayer. Full PvP option, but co-operation increases chances of survival.

A true to life zombie apocalypse game. Having to Scavenge/hunt for food, purify water, secure places to sleep, etc. With a realistic amount of ammo; not just finding a box of ammo randomly in a class room. Completely non-linear. Having to hot-wire vehicles and having very limited fuel for them. Batteries in flash-lights and radios die and are not rechargable. All uninfected characters can become infected, but can be saved if you quickly amputate before the infection spreads. Having to use up one hand to cover your mouth with a wrag or something of the like in specific areas to protect from airborn chemicles.

I'm sure you get the idea of what I'm looking for by now.

Gosh, I mean you hit the mark on all fronts. Planescape Torment sequel, KOTOR 3, would be awesome. I want to see a new HomeWorld game personally. A new Thief game, which is rumored to be in the works.

A remake of Heretic 1 & 2 retaining the third person view of the second game. I think it could look great on a new engine, and after seeing my son play Enslaved, there's a lot of scope for increasing the complexity of combat with Corvus' staff, along with all the great acrobatic moves. They could do so much more with that franchise.

No One Lives Forever 3 would also be great to see, and I wish the rights holders could thrash out some agreement that would allow Cate Archer back onto our screens.

A remake of the original Unreal on current tech could be amazing, and really show off the lush environs of the Nali homeworld.

A remake of the original Jedi Knight and Dark Forces combined, to tell once more the epic tale of Kyle Katarn. The technology is there now to make it a truly cinematic experience.

There are others, but I'd be happy if these games would ever see the light of day.

1.A new Jedi Knight game. Heck, even a remake will get me really pumped.
2. I still want a Total War/Mount & Blade game. Where you can play out of TW perspective and when you feel like it, pick a random soldier or w/e and bash some skulls. This will probably never happen though :(

That doesn't seem hard to implement, especially in multiplayer.

- An MMO like Jade Empire and Ultima Online crossed.

- A good new Planscape Torment game (preferably by Obsidian or Cd Project)

- Dune2 remake (my favorite rts ever)

- Team Fortress3, and if it was a cross between what TF2 and Brink offer right now.

- Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon old school remake (loved the first ghost recon and its expansion packs, same with the first 3 Rainbow games)

- Gothic 5 made by the Gothic1-3/Risen dudes and not the guys who made the horrible Gothic4 (we might get this after Risen2 who knows). Also coop with one friend would be wicked to, although very hard.

- Wizardry or Ultima game again, these are two of my fav rpg series ever, just loved em when I was younger, would love to see a GOOD new version.

- Super Realistic Zombie Apocalypse game with differnt factions of people online doing missions against the zombies and each other (taking over new cities,etc.. think of The Walking Dead somewhat but with few more people).

- Shenmue, new game in the series on PC though with modd support... a dream I know but damn that would be fun.

- Police Quest game with todays hardware, use to love this series as a kid.

A remake of Daggerfall that doesn't look horrible.

The good thing is- it's coming. Certainly not great looking, but much better than the original, especially in motion.

A remake of Daggerfall that doesn't look horrible.

The good thing is- it's coming. Certainly not great looking, but much better than the original, especially in motion.

Had to bookmark that, I would love an updated Blood, thanks

Crimson Skies 2. MechWarrior 5 in vein of MW2 Mercenaries. A proper sequel to Interstate 76, or prequel.

[QUOTE="Deathykins"]

Looks like your wish is granted.

I want Undying 2 and a sequel to Alpha Protocol.

  • You took the word out of my mouth! I loved Alpha Protocol, i don't know why so many reviewrs gave it such a low score. I would love to see a sequel, another rogue, betrayed spy. I was watching season 4 of Burn Notice on DVD 3 days ago, and after that i immediatelly reinstalled Alpha Protocol again. I love spy stuff, but it's not just that, Alpha Protocol was also an excellent game, i loved the timed dialogue wheel, which would make a great adition to any other RPG. I hate the fact that when i'm talking to terrorist in Mass Effect or bloodthirsty mages in Dragon time just stops.

Anyway, this was my little rant and support for the idea for an AP sequel.

  • As for the zombie - game, all i can say is thank you for sharing that with us here! :) I love the idea of that kind of game. L4D was good but...too much action-packed.

I'm really looking forward to this Dead State game, and the announced episodic Walking Dead game.
