My logitech z-5500 center speaker does not work when I haver it set to stereo x2, but when i set it to dolby pl II the center channel and woofer work but none of my otherr sattelites work, thsi really sucks cause Im missing out on a lot of sound. Any ideas on how to fix it besides making sure the wires are plugged in right? micropactMess around with it in the Control Panel. Make sure you have the settings set to 5.1
Ive got the same problem when i have my settings set to 5.1, i have the hp pavillion elite and my sound card supports it. when i set it to 7.1 the 6 channel direct and stereo and stereo x2 except for the surround sound feature for music and movies. i would rather have those. I called logitech they said to call hp, and hp told me to call logitech. Can someone help. I know this was dated in like... 2007 so im hoping someones found the problem. My wires are all connected. Would switching to an optical calble do the trick.?
Yes, i know that. Stereo is the front left and right. stereox2 is front and back left and right. 6 ch direct plays the 5.1 sound.
My problem is. getting PLII Movie and PLII Music working, it only plays the back left and right speakers and the sub.
I have the latest drivers for my sounds card, and my sound card supports up to 10 channels.
I guarantee you just have the three plugs plugged into the wrong places on your sound card. I know they have colors and the instinct is to match the colors, but remember the speakers were not made by the same people as your sound card. Switch the plugs around and keep testing until it works. I had this exact same issue with a set of 5.1 speakers I had. I thought my speakers were screwed up until I tried green in black, yellow in green, and black in yellow. Didn't match at all color-wise, but it made my sound come out properly.Yes, i know that.
