I guess I'm different in that I don't really like to buy the new Zune or iPod everytime one comes out. I actually prefer the Archos line of products because even though they make you pay for the ability to play every movie format, it is worth it. I've never had a problem playing a video on my Archos while it was a pain in the but to play one on my Zune.

I like this device very much, but I only have one complaint. I'm already using 40GB on my 80GB Zune! If they had an HDD based version (even if it has to be a little bigger) I would be all over it. Support for Bluetooth headphones would be welcome too.

Well yeah, that's the downside is the most quality headphones are wired. I have a decent pair of wireless Logitechs I like though. The biggest perk being no wire.

I was knd of scared too. but I kind of knew that those were wrong, because from all I've read from the tegra chip and the oled screen is that its very power efficient. now we have to see how real those numbers are(I'm pretty sure that its accurate)

well they kind of do, but that sounds more like the ipod touch wish lasts less than 24 hours( it doesnt last 36 hours of music playback as they claim) honestly the zune hd will complement my iphone3g/ g1( not the best phone but I do like the android) deffinetly cant wait to get my hands on it.

I'm not happy at all with this. I mean i liked the tech but wth do they want me to do with 16-32 GB of space? I have over 100GB of movies that i've created from my dvds. Why couldnt they have just taken the Zune 120, and upgrade it with the new display? Its the same with Apple. We had Ipods with 80GB space...then we go backwards?! Now its nothing but a crippled and rebadged Iphone. I want a nice 120GB+ media player that will play my mp4 and divx files.

It looks neat, but they're going to need some sort of competition for the app store to make it competitive against the Touch as a music/gaming/PDA device.

Yes. I tend to carry one for music and one for videos for when i'm at work (kills the monotany). I have converted most of my dvd collection to divx files (around 2-3 GB per movie) that have stored on my PS3 for playback, and then also converted those to MP4 for use with portable media players. We have had 80GB+ players for years now. I have become dependent large storage space. I think it is a step backwards to introduce smaller units, especially when the screens are capable of displaying higher resolutions, which means larger file sizes.....yet they give us smaller hard drives. I guess for some people who just use it for class and things like that the smaller hard drives aren't a problem. For me it is. Also, they are going in the direction of wireless access and fancy software with these devices. What ever happened to a simple easy to use interface. I want to spend my time listening to music or watching my videos, not trying to access the internet. I have my laptop for that.

Im more interested in the windows phone, but the design looks excellent. not sure about the choice of the OLED screen though, OLEDs will probably disappear once the nanotube screens come out into production in the near future.

The Cowon D2 has approx. 52 hours for audio and 10 for video. If the Zune HD had the D2's software and battery life, it would be a massive ipod killer.

This seems elite over the ipod in everyway except one. Apps. I sure hope zune hd has apps.
