When I first tried setting up my Zune, I had this error on a loop: "To recover from an error, Zune must erase all content". I looked around Google for a solution and ended up on this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927001/en-us to restore my Zune device. I have done all steps and when I get to connect my Zune after it's been formatted and I tried to install the firmware, I get this error:

Device was not updated

Can't sync because there isn't enough space on your zune. Delete some items and then try again. Error code: C00D124F

Thing is, I've never put anything on the device, and I've just formatted it. Why would there not be enough space for a small firmware? I don't understand anything with this device.

Thanks for any help.

wow. never heard of that. I would post over in the zune boards. ya can find microsoft zune team members there that might be able to answer if gamspot members cant.

Reinstalling the software doesn't change anything.
