10 years of FF 7

it been 10 years since ff7 been well in august any way do u think square has anything planned. maybe a downloadable version for psp.

I bet they announce something in July.

I'm just playing FFVII for the first time right now....just started Disk 2...(someone just died).   Cool game.   It's outdated, but having seen FFVI....it's clear how revolutionary the game was.  It's got that Japanesey weirdness and the typical Japanese  archetypes in the characters, but it's still better developed than most games, easily. 

TEN years?! My god...time has flown!

But its a testament to the game, that with a PS3 and an Xbox360 I could put a ten year old game on and still LOVE it.I think it shows that console power doesnt make GREAT games.

10 years...... and some people still cant accept the fact that rpgs have moved on and got better. FFVII, while gorundbreaking AT THE TIME, has been surpassed by every FF from 8 to 10. But i have realised two things now. Never argue with a man with a shotgun, and never argue with a FFVII fanboy. Both just cant be reasoned with;)getsmelifted

Well, for me is 11 years (played the JP version before the US release). But anyway its a long time and I still don't forget it. For me, along with Chrono Trigger, they're the best RPG ever made...

Saying that is just like saying a Ford GT40 is better than the Model T. It is true in every sense but can anyone put down the original that made it all possible in the first place?

RPGs have moved on in 10 years, now we have Real Time and a host of quirks on the the Turn Based system. You can't really discredit the one game that expanded the RPG genre in the west beyond what it was at that period of time. All FF games have been different for me, enjoyed every single one of them, perhaps to varying degrees.

FF series was my first rpg game I've ever played.FFvii was my first and until now nothing else make me sit for hours in-front of the tv, never stop playing...

The story was unbelievable!! I just wanted to take it a small step further to see whats going on.And Sephiroth!!!OH MY GOD!!! The best "evil" character I've ever met in a game!!

FFvii is the best for me with FFviii following.Didn't enjoy FFix that much, still i dont know why till now.

FFX was great too, FFX-2 disappointed me and finally FFXII is not what i expected..

Waiting FFxiii and FF Versus xiii to make feel the thrill again!!!

One of the greatest games ever !!! Maybe this year I might play it again just to celebrate

None taken. Im not saying that FFVII shouldnt be someones favourite game, Im just saying that of all the popular games i know, none have a fanbase that are so blindly in love with a game. FFVII has reached a cult statis. The fact that you said it will be the best FF of all time, without having played all the future FF games, really does prove my point.

But hey, dont take offense friend, your entitled to your opinion just as much as the next guy. Well.... unless your Hitler or something.
