i would like to buy mgs subsistense, already owning snake eater, but i would like to know if the motorcicle chase into the woods is still as chaotic as ever in terms of camera - at least imo. I'll buy the the game regardless but i would like to know in advance if someone could tell me i'd apreciate that

Subsistance allow use of both the new camera and the old one. You can switch by just pressing the right analog stick down(just a click).

I don't remember if you could use the free camera in that part though. It was either the same as it was in Snake Eater in that part, or you could use the free camera or the old cool camera angle in that part.
The only part of the game I remember for certain that you could not use the new free camera was in the final Boss fight. But you can use the old camera through out the entire game if you want.

Well, against the final boss, the free-form camera would've either made it way too easy, or too hard. She'd either stand out really badly, or blend in. . .

I've beaten MGS3: subsistance and yes you can use the new cam in that chase. Heck, I used first person with my Machine Gun on full auto blazing everything. It was so easy I just wanted it to end as soon as possible.

I don't recall the camera doing much in the bike chase.... I mean you're spending 98% of the time in first person view, anyway. And a portion of that chase were pre-rendered cutscenes.

You'll note that some cutscenes are longer in subsistence than in Snake Eater... Dialog is all the same, but scenes are just longer.... Two scenes, in particular.... Also they added a blue glow to lightning effects and the Radio doesn't have flawed audio and does't pause as much when cutscenes are rendered on it.
