Any Game With(close) to PS3 Graphics???!!

Is there any game that looks or even come close to ps3 graphics on ps2??! pls i need to know! I heard Gran Turismo4 Looks Awesome like ps3 version, and God of war 2 has Next Gen Graphics..is this true?? if YES im about to buy a ps2!! :) Tell me some games with KILLER graphics. Thanxxxxgreekboy1981

i agree with slinky6. you shouldn't buy a console because a few games have good grphics. and plus, the ps3 is the new console not the ps2!!!

Ya I agree with many people above.You shouldn't judge a console by how good its graphics are instead by how good the games are.

God Of War 2 looks amazing and is only second to (in my own opinion) Resident Evil 4.Can these be compared to Next Gen games? Umm No. They look artistically amazing and really push the power of the system to its max.HDR lighting,anti aliasing, self shadowing, run at full 60 frames per second with all of the above enabled will kill the PS2.The PS2 simply cannot run with these things.Its hardware limits it do those things.

What people mean is that these games (God Of War 2, MGS Subsistence , Resident Evil 4 and a couple of others) look amazing enough to be called Next Gen.But in reality when compared to the PS3 games or the upcoming MGS 4, Lair, Heavenly Sword the PS2 graphics can't stand a chance.But I'm not gonna say I hate the PS2 because it can't pump visuals.

Do yourself a favour.If you like games which are fun and games with amazing quality go buy yourself a PS2.Graphics are not all that important.My number 1 favourite game is Chrono Trigger and that was released on the SNES! Play a game for the experience it gives not for the graphics.Trust me on it - the PS2 is worth every single buck you have.Screw graphics - just get the console for the experience.

i thought valkyrie profile 2 was a ps3 game, bc the graphics are so good, but its ps2. so you might wanna try that

RE4 was considered a "next gen game on a current gen console", GT4 is awesome, and god of war 1 and 2 are some of the best action games ever made.

 Not true. If you want graphics get Xbox. but if you want more than 3 games that are good (Xbox had Halo 1 &2 and Ninja Gaiden) get PS2. It is much better because you get all the japanese games which means not every game is an fps. PS2 has great RPGs (Final Fantasy, Grandia) and action games (Onimusha, Dynasty Warriors) plus lots of others like Guitar Hero.

actually i always hear people saying graphic is not the main point of the whole game, but personally i think graphic plays a part...i wont want my game looking like crap ? even though they have good game play.

not at all. I'm just about to get a PS2 when i get paid at the end of the month. theres so many games i want to play for it. ive enjoyed my gamecube (loved nintendo all my life) and xbox over the years but i really fancy getting into some good RPGs and other japanese games (SotC, okami, ico etc). its never too late to get a console. especially seeing as the PS2 is widely available (for dirt cheap in some places too). also, the graphics aren't outdated yet really and plenty of quality games are still being released for it. its probably the perfect time to get one actually, and i personally cant wait to play the 20-30+ games that i want for it.

also, i want a PS3, but its too expensive just now, and the games are pretty lackluster at the moment. and a lot of PS2 games arent playable here (UK) on it.

so no, its really not a little late to get a PS2! not even in the slightest.

 I agree, but to me the main part of the game is the material.

there is alot of great graphics game , just keep the idea of colse to ps3 out of your mind and play games like metal gear solid  and god of war  and there is alot of great games. about the close to ps3 game graphics is ( black )
