I want to buy a game that me and my 9-year-old brother could play together; I though about Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal -- but I'm not sure if it will be suitable for him -- what do you think?

Thank you. :)

GTA:SA. You can go on these little co-op missions where you can drive around on a motorcycle and just gun people down. Its really fun. One person drives while the other sits on the back and shoots.

R&C would be fine they dont have blood and gore but your still using guns to kill stuff, you will probably have to put all your loaded firearms on like the top of a shelf or something after playing that game. How about X-men Legends 2 or Marvel Mutant Alliance. You use mutant powers to kill people in that game and im pretty sure your brother cant blast people with mental energy or shoot lightning out his hands. Champions: Return to arms is also pretty fun its a hack n slash with swords, bows and magic against monsters that dont exist in the real world...well except for those pigs. But I doubt you have any of those around you.

Why would you get your 9 year old brother hooked on video games though. He is going to play violent stuff eventually and then you will be screwed. What kind of brother are you?? Why dont you teach how to play a sport or how to play music or make art. Teach him religion and let him go try to convert all his friends..err i meant teach his friends. I mean you might as well be giving your brother a beer, some cocain and a loaded gun by letting him play video games!!!

Yes, that is true. I've been playing video-games since I can remember myself and I already killed like 12 people.

Ratchet & Clank would be great for an 9-year-old imo. Up Your Arsenal (I think that was the one that had co-op?) has pretty good co-op. Guitar Hero also has co-op.. I think. That's an pretty good game too but you'll need some kind of 'guitar controllers'. I don't really know any good co-op games for an 9-year-old.. lol.

dynasty warriors/samurai warriors, lego star wars, baldur's gate dark alliance, champions of norrath, shrek 2, x-men legends, marvel ultimate alliance, shining tears, shining force neo/exa. Start with the games listed first.

...you really don't know ...

wow...

I recomend

...

...

Gears of war...

it may be violent but honstly I see no reason why parents(brothers in this case) try to "protect" their kids...they'll play it eventually...better now than later at least he'lll have fun...R&C"UYA...NO CO-OP!!!!

DBZ...I hate that series I always hated it!!!!

...but if you won't let him play gears...then I recomend tales of symphonia for the gamecube...or ifyou don't own one then...

SW:BF(2) isn't that bad...,...guitar hero is okay but you'll have to spend aproximatley:

guitar hero 2 (with guitar) 80$

second guitar 60$

...

GEARS FTW!!!!!

The kid's 9 years old - how do people go about recommending GTA (with all the vulgar language) and Gears of War (which is pretty violent). I'm not going all Jack Thompson but there should be limits and standards. By exposing kids to this stuff early on, they can be desensitzed by the violence or think that using the F-word, etc. is the norm.

Seriously think back when we were all his age, we were playing games likemario, sonic.

a co-op gamefor 9 year old hmm.. You can try Gradius V, lord of the rings: return of the king, and SSX Tricky. I also recommend those titles mentioned above by hakud0ushi. Have fun!
