I've got Field Commander on the PSP and like it a lot, just wondering if there's anything on the PS2 that's remotely like it. I've had a look but so far only found a lot of games where the characters are those mini anime characters, which I'm not really into. Found Gladius though, very different to Field Commander, but looks good so I'll be getting that. Anyway, any Field Commander type games? Oh yeah, XBox is option too if necessary, but I do prefer playing on the PS2.
I dont have a psp or have knowledge of Field Commander but there are tactical games for ps2.
Front Mission 3-4, Vandal Hearts 1-2, Disgaea 1-2 , X-com UFO Defense (one of the best games ever), FF Tactics, Azure Dreams, I think there is an Ogre tactical game for ps. Uhhhhh Cant remember any others.  Another game that may sound stupid but is actually pretty damn fun is Yu-gi-oh Capsule Monster Colisseum.
You should not overlook the strategy rpg's.  They are very fun most of the time.  X-com and Disgaea are the best though.
Yeah looks good that Front Mission 4 (as do the other ones), although it does look a bit like that other robot one that was really bad...and the Gamespot review at least seems to think it's pretty complicated...
Yeah I'm getting Gladius via a certain website as we speak. No instructions so I couldn't trade it in but I have a feeling I'll be keeping it anyway...only £8 too so a bargain I reckon. Would you recommend the other Front Mission games, like Second and 3 (PS1) and FM5 for PS2? I'm just getting into X-Com on the PC now, keep getting my troops killed even on beginner at the moment but I'm sure I'll get there in the end :P
