Oh yeah, there is also Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, arguably the best fighting game out period, but I wouldn't recommend it though because it is by far the hardest PS2 fighting game to get proficient with.
Either Capcom vs SNK 2, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection or Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. All of those games own and SF Anniversary is 2 games in 1(hyper SF 2 and SF 3rd Strike)!!!!
Soul Calibur 2 has Heihachi from Tekken. All of the Tekkens are fun, but buying the 5th will get you 4 in one. It has Tekken through 3, but not 4 because the system was different.

I can give you three choices: Def Jam Fight for NY, Soul Calibur 3 and Guilty Gear XX Slash.
The first is easy to learn, fun to fight (the sound of crushing bones against car's doors are amazing =D) and has a lot of fighter customization. The second is one of the "High Rated" fighting games, it's really good and has a lot of replay value. The third is THE most amazing 2D fighting game (I'm sorry Street Fighter fans), has the most amazing soundtrack for a fighting game, a lot fighters with different styles BUT is hard to learn, takes a lot of time.
All 3 are good choices!!!
