does anyone like NCAA FB 08, or Madden?

I detest American football. I like the real football that the rest of the world enjoys. With that in mind, my favorite sports games are.

Winning Eleven football series of games.

Sega SportsTennis series of games.

Minna No Golf/Hot Shots Golf series.

Various Nintendo themed sports games often developed by Camelot.

I like to sometimes play NBA 2K games, notNBA Live, such awful crap.

I Usually Don't Play Sports Games, But If I Do I Usually Play Madden And Football Games, But That's Usually It.

I Don't Like Them Because It's Always The Same Thing And Nothing Else.

So, I Guess you Could say I Don't Like Sports Games.

Sports in real life are all pretty stupid and a joke. Players get paid LOTS of money to play a freaking game. Thats like someone paying me 24 million dollars to play Ratchet and clank professional for 3 years lol. Stupid. Not only that but players dope, cheat on their wives, and waste thier money on crap. And all the jocks who couldnt make it to the pro's sit there and idolize them..................

I play sports games occasionally. I let making the AI as retarded as possable first. Like in madden i usually score 100+ pts a game with 7 minute qaurters lol. I love hockey and usually score 20-35 goals a game w/ 10 minute periods. I play the fantasy ****basketball games like NBA street and nba baller. They are nice filler games that can quickly devour hours of your life. I dont have alot of friends to compete against though and usually suck at sports game against other people which really pisses me off since i can crush them in just about any other type of game.

I tend to gravitate to sports in games when I like the real life sport, my favorites being baseball, tennis, golf, car racing, horse racing, gymnastics and most olympic sports.

however those last two sports havent really yeilded any really good games.I should buy more sports games even of the genres I like.

I will say that even though I like playing sports on the ps2, playing sports on the wii is the best thing ever. I think tiger woods and madden are much improved there (and more could be improved) they really need a proper baseball game for it, as the wii sports baseball was too silly and brief for my taste. And I agree with the person who said that most of the mario sports games rule, because they really do.

I would like them more if they were more realistic. Usually, they are way too easy and all the focus is on offense.

Im not a big sports fan, but I'd like to see you two play a sports game with the pros. THen tell me sports players are overrated.

Yeah I like sports games. I play NBA 2K7 and MVP Baseball.

I didnt say pro athleteshave no skill(thats for guys who have fantasy's about actually competeing against them - see joe's vs pro's on spike tv)and dont deserve to be paid that much. I said nobody who plays a game deserves to make millions of dollars to do it.

What are you blathering on about? Atheletes are one of the few areas in life where human achievement is still happening and impressive. They are our modern heros. Because lets face it, war hasnt been about heroism since they started using smart bombs and machine guns instead of running at each other to bayonnet each other in the chest. And even that was less about heroism and more about people fighting as pawns in other peoples horrible maniacal schemes.

Granted the police still occasionally still do something heroic, such as the recent incident with the failed terrorist attacks in scotland. Not to mention rescue workers after major storms etc.

But sports is one of the few places where you can see people that get off thier butt and train to go beyond the past limits of human ability on a regular basis. Atheletes have learned one of the keys of life (or more than one) as life is best lived if you push you body (and mind and spirit) to its limits, and if you enjoy what you do.

I think that professional sports shouldnt just be about the ultra talented though, as it makes it sometimes rather elitist. Wouldnt it be great if we had famous atheletes who really werent very good at anything? Because then you could watch them on tv and then be like "I can do better than that" and then everyone can feel a bit more strong and capable.

Aboondon, if your trying to say that Pro athletes dont contribute to society on a labour, logical sense, I agree with you. Construction workers deserve more than these guys because they WORK. But also, you have to realize that athletes that are pro have made a commitment, they had to have desire, heart, and endurance. Anyone who can do this deserves to get paid well, and lets face it, your making it sound as if its easy for someone to become a pro athlete and live the good life. Also, your implying that playing sports is more fun that work. In fact, its work that is fun AND hard. An athlete can play his sport, but its hard to win, its hard to go on road games, its hard to train and stay fit.

On the otherrrr hand, I agree with you on the fact that if pro athletes make millions, other workers like construction workers deserve a lot more because they have a more logical contribution. (Im making an assumption that that's what you believe, so tell me if I am wrong.)
