Timesplitters 2 is a much better game.

could be, but I havent played it and I don't really rely too much on reviews to find fun game experiences. for example GameInformer gave .hack//GU vol.2 a 5/10.. that to me is incorrect, same goes with killzone. The game is gorgeous on the ps2 and I had a great time playing it.. if anything drug it down it was probably lack of multiplayeroptions or online support.

I bought the game for the single player experience.

OMFG ! Killzone ?!?! Yes, the first couple of levels are fun, but overall the game is crap ! Even underrated ! It looks kinda nice, but it has TONS of bugs, and overall it plays pretty pad !

So, the best are:

Black, Timesplitters series, Area51, Project: Snowblind, Call of Duty,1,2,3, Cold Winter, Darkwatch, MoH Series...ect..

So? Everybody has an opinion. No offense to you but I can say the same about Black of it being an very boring an dull game (Yes, I have played it).. The first level was fun of of BLACK but after that it starts to suck because all you do is kill, kill, kill no actual objectivbes (e.g defend base, place a bomb somewhere, defuse a bomb etc etc) .. I didn't like the whole 'Hollywood Movie' style to the game like the cut scenes being real and all. I can't even skip the freaking long cut-scenes..

Killzone, on the other hand, is an great game that has an great story, characters etc. The game is very buggy and glitchy but the game had the potential to be the best FPS for the PS2 (and it's the PS2 we're talkng about. There ARE no good FPS for the PS2.. go get a Pc or Xbox/Xbox 360 for FPS. I recommend PC)..

IMO you shouild get Killzone and Call of Duty 3 (WWII type game). CoD3 is also very fun and has an great storyline.. hope that helps.

And also, if you can find Timesplitters 2 and Timesplitters: Future Perfect. DEFINETELY go for that! Both of them have excellent multiplayer/split-screen and are amazing FPS.

hmm, i checked my ps2 game collection(and like 90% of them are all fps) lol i say Area51, battlefield 2 modern combat, cold winter, black, red faction 2, Urban chaos, Timesplitters Future Perfect. Ive basically played mostly all the Fps games for ps2, even though i dont own them all, ive rented and beaten them. fpsmastaps2

Isn't BF2:Modern Combat third person? I would have to say that is my favorite shooter game. I only played it online, but I played it a lot.

As for the best FPS, I used to like Killzone for that title, but now I would go with Timespliters Future Perfect. It's the only one I've played. I found it for $9.99 at Sears, and I love it. I can't believe I never played any of the TS games until now. Are the first two hard to come by?

id say black was one of the best FPS on any console, killzone was also good and did injure Halo but not kill it, and Red Faction really shut the X-BOX fanboys up.

no battlefield 2 is a fps, its that you can change the camera on the vehicles to look like 3rd person
