Black is a fun game and nothing beats blowing up thos gasometers on the refinery level. While the single player is short on the starting difficulties once you unlock blackops difficulty good god is this game tough, having to get all those secondary objectives is a nightmare.
Also it is nice to fire a gun at a wall and actualy see the bullet damage things, such a simple thing but makes such a difference. Infact I've refused to buy any shooter from now on that doesn't have any enviromental destruction in real time.
its a good game comming from the makers of burnout u should give this a try aiming is not that sloopy its just nice really good game great i should say and 4 times the reply value
I bought Black, when I owned my PS2. Overall its a fun shooter and should be worth buying. The good: you can blow tons of stuff up, great graphics, The bad: no multiplayer.
What it gives you is amazing, its easily one of the best looking games on the PS2, its short but sweet, 8 levels that take 30 to 40 mins to get thru. Each level is packed with explosions and different locations.
Its out on Platinum now so it will be cheap, which will make up for the stuff its missing.
me too... i would totally recommend it, and if you really enjoy it you can replay it and it wont become so short, and its really fun blasting everything with the silver weapons ;D
well there's a great amount of destruction in the game and the gameplay is quite good, albeit a bit too easy at times...especially SPOILER once you're using the inf. ammo m16 a1 with underslung m203 grenade launcher (also inf. ammo) END SPOILER...the story is crap though, and it's very short...also there's a complete lack of multiplayer so after you've finished the game on each difficulty you'll most likely just put the game away and never play it again... ...overall i'd say get it if you can get it cheap, it's not very good value though if you can only get it at full price... if you can find red faction instead that would be a better buy if you like the idea of all the destruction...although the graphics aren't quite as good as black's in that
Dont expect any of the fully destructable enviroments that the advertisment campaign leads you to believe there is and dont expect it to last more than a few hours and you have a solid FPS which is amzing fun.
I bought this game...played maybe 15 mins total. Tryed to sell it to eb, and they wouldnt take it. Honestly this game takes the fps genre back 10 years to simple point and click gamplay...terrible game all around stay far far away.
