I noticed today that Tekken 5 was still in my slim. It hasn't been touched since Tuesday and the PS2 was unplugged. Do you think this could hurt the game or the system itself? I know I forgot and did the same thing with my GC before but I figured Id ask since they are two diff systems and thi is my first PS2.

I read the manuels not to leave disc inside a aystem. I have left Call of Duty 3 in my PS2 and it worked fine the next day because I forgot to take it out.

In theory, no. The ps2 probably acts like one big case. But still, it is exposed to dust or whatever, and if you jostle around your station I suppose it would be at risk, technically...

I just checked the manual a few minutes and didn't see anything about it.

I'd say no. I don't see how it could be hazardous to either tha game or the console.

1. You're keeping the game sheltered pretty nicely, with no movement within the PS2.

2. The PS2 is off s... well it's off so I guess nothing at all is going on.

I wouldn't risk it in fear of maybe forgetting the game was inside and shaking the console may cause the game to move out of it's disk tray.

No! I've left games in my PS2 all the time since I bought it (when it first came out) and I have never had a single problem with my PS2.

I have been using my Ps2 for 3 years, leaving any game i play inside it,and im not having any problems yet,it does though require occasional service to clean up the dust, otherwise many games dont work.Ihave also been running Dvds on my console.

Worst that might happen is dust collection. just be sure to clean out or blow into the PS2 and it'll be fine ;)

If you think about it in a concrete way, with the PS2 offline, it's just a piece of plastic on another, it's plastic on plastic action with no electricity. Not much will happen in this case.

I don't think it does because since I've had my PS2 I've always left a game in it. I think there's one in there now and I haven't touched the PS2 in months.

I've left games in my PS2 many times without any problems. Just as long as you don't start moving the system around or anything, I think you should be ok.

Pretty much whatever game I'm playing at the time remains in my PS2 until I'm done with. I haven't had a problem yet, so I assume it's OK to do.
