i'm looking for some decent co op ps2 games

not really interested in multiplats, or stuff like xmen legends

right now i'm considering getting sly3 and cookies and cream(dont laugh.. the games like 3$ and doesnt require a 2nd controller)

im going off to buy SPM in a few minutes and i figure i should pickup some decent co op ps2 games since all i have are single player games

these games are for me and my girlfriend

she has a pretty decent variety of tastes... probably the last 2player game we played on ps2 was burnout/ratchet n clank and she liked it

ps this list..

Not laughing at all! Adventures of Cookie and Cream is a great co-op classic for the PS2, a fantastic buy there, definitely get it. I have never been able to find a new copy of that one at anywhere near a reasonable price myself.

There are some other good co-op titles to choose from, the most notable being the last couple of Timesplitters games -- they're shooters, but they're really a lot of fun, with a fun sense of humor and rock-solid gameplay mechanics. Weeding out anything multi-platform narrows it down a lot, as I think James Bond: Everything or Nothing (excellent co-op) was multi-plat, and I know that MK: Shaolin Monks and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Double Agent were.

For the kinds of games mentioned, the Lego Star Wars games would probably be good co-op choices, but again they're multi-platform. One that's PS2 exclusive though is We Love Katamari -- harder to find now, but it added a cute and fun co-op mode to the original gameplay.

And you're right... it's just nuts that none of the excellent Sly Cooper games appear to be on that "recommended games" list. That makes no sense and is clearly not right.

Hotshots golf was a fun multi-player game.  It's hard for me to name many for the PS2 as that kind of game we mostly play on our Gamecube.  Anywho, Lego Star Wars 1 & 2 are both really fun games for co-op, even if they are multi-platform.

well its not like i HATE multiplat games...

thanks for suggestions.. i only got sly3 :(

i couldnt find cookies and cream

i saw timesplitters and considered it

didnt see too many things though

im also hoping to find the game reasonably cheep, so the longer it's been out most likely the better (unless its a rare game)

heres another thing though... i want some sort of challenge

when we played ratchet n clank together , even after beating it and putting the difficulty way up it was still pretty easy breezy
