I have played Contra and Contra3 but it was a very long time ago. Is it released on the PS or PS1? Also; how do Metal Slug games compare(?) because I have never played a Metal Slug game.
Awsome. That is enough votes for me to merit picking up a copy of the Metal Slug Anthology. Should be good times. Contra is pretty hard. I had to cheat to beat the game... even then I don't know if I beat Contra 3. Ha ha. Can't remember it's been so long. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone and no reason to stop.

While you kickin ass wit the Metal Slug Anthology (good luck with Metal Slug 3...you will NEED it), if you want serious pain, get Contra: Shattered Soldier. GARUNTEED to keep you busy for a looong while.

You know it took me 4 months to 1CC that game and a full run took less then 50 min if i recall correctly, now thats replay value.
Gradius V is still the best 2d shooter out on any last gen console (yes thats right gradius V > ikaruga!)
