i bought it for 16$ australian, im liking it, this is the first dmc game ive ever played, do u reckon i will continue to like caz ive never played the other ones
I prefer DMC 2 to DMC 1. I didnt care about the weapons in DMC 1, I always stick to the basic sword, Rebellion. DMC 2 has a much more better gameplay than DMC 1, but it lacks in some other ways. Try using the super demon form which is my favorite feat in DMC 2. Get your HP to red and use the devil trigger
considering you like DMC2 (which is the worst of the series) then you'll absolutely LOVE DMC1, and 3dante_123456
i agree that this is "the worst in the series" but im not telling that this is not a good game, its just the worst among the 3 DMCs i like DMC 3 the most coz it has great graphics as DMC1 and cool moves as DMC2 so DMC3 is the best imo ^_^ mixture of good graphics and good moves and gameplay ^_^
but the answer to your question that if you wasted your money.. i guess not, as long as you loved the game and enjoyed it. and go buy DMC 1 and DMC 3 now ^_^ then play DMC 1 2 3 ^_^ hehehe its good to play it as a series ^_^

I think something interesting with the weapons in DMC2 is the selection of guns. I love using the SMGs for some odd reason.
DMC2 was absolutely aweful compared to 3. If you played 2 1st I can understand that you may like it since you can't compare to the others but I tried 2 last and didnt want to play past the 2nd level.

I never use something different than the combo ebony & ivory + shotgun. those 2 give you more airborne time than anything else
2 was okay, but if you can snag a used copy of DMC3 Director's Cut do NOT hesitate to put some cash down for it. Everything about it from weapons to enemies to level design is vastly, VASTLY improved.
If you played DMC 1 or 3, you will know that you have wasted your money on DMC 2. Since DMC 2 is your first in the series than I guess you haven't wasted your money. It is still a good game but when compared with the rest in the series, its rubbish.
Well to be completely honest DMC is one of my fav PS2 franchises its just so much fun to play. When played DMC1 for the first time i thought it was awesome and after i finish it i bought DMC2 even tho everyone told me the game sucked, but i persevered and started to play the game at first i thought the game was ok but then it was like :cry: i cannot play this game WTF happen here? where is the DMC i love :cry: it was just too painful to play :? the game was just poorly made and when DMC3 came it was a gift from god.
But hey if u r really enjoying the game go ahead finish it, when u play the other 2 u will understand my point.
you should have bought Devil May Cry, first because reviews say it's better, then because if you haven't played any of the DMC before it is not wise to buy a sequel, at least not for me, because i like to follow the story's order and development. :D
You didn't waste your money getting DMC 2. Considering this is you first DMC, it's understandable how you feel about this game. When the time comes to play the other ones, your going to see your perspective about DMC 2 change fast.
I just got the 5th Anniversary pack with all 3 games. I played DMC1 for the first time yesterday. Wow that game really looks old. You can tell it is a Capcom game. I felt like I was playing Resident Evil. I wasn't overly impressed with the game. I'm kinda regretting buying it. I only completed the first level or mission or whatever. I'll definitely give it more time. I may need to read the manual. Dante is holding guns, but I can't figure out how to get him to shoot.
2 years back , when I bought my PS2 , DMC2 and Tekken4 were my two first games and yeah , the action in DMC2 was awesome . But the story was seriously boring and I hated that FRIGGIN level with that infected helicopter and those infected tanks .
