I don't play theses games much, but I have my gf's bro. He is all into this series, so he totally hated Dirge of Cerebrus. Pretty much rented it and returned it within a few hrs. Don't listen to everything cause I never played it, but I'm going by what he said. I checked it out while he is playing and I think you'll have more fun with FFXII.
This isn't like Action vs RPG. This is bad game vs good game. Now, if we were comparing The Legend of Zelda: OoT to FFVII, you could get a better read on what people perfer.
ummm well i would say ff xii for like the obviouse reasons but i dont think that DoC would be a bad choice either, sure its not like most of the ff games but it still has everythign to do with it and i think it would be a good time waster lol so yea ff xii
I loved dirge of cerberus, it's like a shooter plus rpg. But if you're looking for a shooter alone, so many other games r better gameplay wise. But i loved the story and the game. It was a little too close devil may cry but still good. As for FF12, im my opinion this is the most over rated ff game. Now i can't speak too much about the game and can't argue too much with people who have already beat the game but i played about half of it and just stopped playing. I love ff, but this one is just a lot more boring than all the previous ff games (havent played ff11, so minus that), sure they revamped the gameplay but after you get used it you dont really care. I actually prefer the old gameplay. But i kept playing hoping the story would get better, but its just a lot of boring stuff that makes the game lengthy and i just didn't feel like wasting anymore time because the story doesnt seem to get any better. I'd go with dirge if i were you, that was interesting and loved the story. I think it got such bad opinions from some people because it was being compared as a shooter to other shooters. I respect other ppls opinion tho, if u like a game or dont like a game u just do, every1 is different. I wish i had the interest to finish ff12 but i don't, but i hope i'm not like this guy who said Metal Gear Solid sucked and he only played half (and it was this guy who reviews games on gamespot, so you can't trust everything they say).
