I know those games clock in on average around 100 hours of gameplay but one you finally beat the game is there any real reason to go back and play it?

Oh, absolutely. I've gone back and done them over and over again. Especially if you rush through it the first time. But yeah, once you've beaten it and then give it a couple months.. You're good to go! The main reason is, in my opinion, since it takes so long to beat, it's refreshing to start over because it's been so long since you've played the first part.

Even though i LOVE final fantasy, ill have to say no cause you already know what going to happen. FFX was good the second time though.

I own most the final fantasy series, right now I'm completing ffxii. When I'm done I will go buy Call of duty, and when i get sick of that I will probably replay ffxii8):P

Of course Final Fantasy games have replay value. FFX has replay value alone in just Blitzball. And out of the majority of RPGs out there, the Final Fantasy series probably attains the most replay value, derived from both the vast number of sidequests and the amazing stories each game offers.

Yes they do. I've replayed FFX like 5 times. You just simply enjoy doing the boss fights again, and exploring certain areas again. The game sucks you in. Well thats how it is for me at least.

The truth is that they dont. You dont unlock extra stuff as new game+ or new items (except in FF X-2). But, you will love the game so much that you will feel that you really need to replay it.

I pllayed every Final Fantasy (except 3,6,9 cause I dont have them) twice at least.

Ive played IV 3; VII 5 times; VIII 10 times; X 3 times and XII 3 times. The others Ive played them twice.

in my opinoin FFX was a good one to replay, not so much the older final fantasy games but give it awhile before u play it again.

the answer? HELL YES!

why?

becoz early in the game there are sooo many references to what will happen later on,.. hence when u go into the game the second time and u notice an npc saying "blablabla" u'd say "hey he/she is referring to a boss fight WAAYYY later in the game..!!" or something like that.. :P

i have played VII, VIII, IX, X-2 and XII, and of all thos the only one i replayed was VII, 4 times

1st - For the story, to see if i knew where to go
2nd - tried to get the most thing by myself
3rd - 100% with faq
4th - 100% w/o faq...

and that's it...

No.... FF games generally have no replay value. They didn't put a newgame+ into them until FFX-2.

The average is closer to 60 hours, not really100. The only FF game that can average into the 100's is FFXII and that's only if you get into the hunts. The only things that will get you into the 100's in the other games is level grinding and getting involved in the mini-card games and such.

For me theyre soooooo replayable. Ive done them all numerous times. And at the moment I have the biggest craving to play FF7 again. But with Uni work, and actual work I am trying to resist the urge to play it, I just dont have the time :(

Hey I got another question... When you replay any final fantasy game.. does it start all over from the beginning or do you get to keep your characters levels, items stats ect...

They're all great, i must have played 4, 6, 7, 8,9, 10 a dozen times.

Haven't finished 12 yet, and the only one i don't really feel like going back is X-2

Seven's the one i go back to most often.

final fantasy 7 and X(10) i played 3 or 4 times each, but with the other ones that ive played Final Fantasy 1&2, 3,6,8,9,X-2,online,XII. well tell a lie i actually played 8 2 after and 9 one more time. i love final fantasy but apart from them after i completed them i didnt feel like playing them anymore. So far ive completed the first 3 in the row, just bought 4 after weeks of looking and then going to get 5 then carry on so i play all final fantasy games in a row so ill be playing them all over again. they are very good the first time you play them and you will probably find more items weapons or take more time leveling up you characters.

but altogether i would only say ff7 ff10 maybe ff origins(1&2) ff8,9 are worth playing again and final fantasy 12 was by far the worst with the crap fighting system

To me, they have little replay value. One time through is good enough because when you play through that first time you dont know how the story is gonna come out. Once you beat the game and try to play it again, you know whats gonna happen and it tends to get boring. I only replay a game if it has a lot of action and excitment. The Final Fantasy games are mostly turn-based, otherwise, you and the enemy take turns hitting each other so thats not a lot of action. I play it for the story, after I know the story, its rare for me to go back to it because I think its boring.

That's completely your opinion, which you're entitled to, but most people's opinion is that they are worth playing through multiple times. I also disagree with you. If you're taking turns hitting each other, not only are you playing on the crappy "Wait" setting, but you're slow and don't know what you're gonna do before each char. gets his or her turn.

You peeps are crazy. I find myself having a hard time beating a rpg game as it is, plus there are tons of good games that i like to play. I don't got time to replay games that i know i have beat. I still haven't beat FF7 yet. And I am on the very last Sep. He's hard :(

I'm gonna try and be as nice as possible...

1. RPG Game? Role-Playing game game? Must be an intense game.

2. It's ok if you don't like them, that's understandable. I personally love them.

3. If you haven't beat FFVII yet and you want to, wow. I'm sorry.

4. Seifer Seph. is SO easy. I'm sorry again.
