Are you the type to look for everything , unlock everything, kill everyone or just the type to finish the game and go to the next game?

I guess I'm a tweener.  I go on side quests and try to do extra-curricular things within games, but there comes a point when I become impatient and then I just finish the game.  Unless the game is a completely awesome experience and all the side things do not seem like a real chore.

I got everything and beat Nemesis before I finsihed Final Fantasy X. Same for Final Fantasy X-2. For Resident Evil 4, I finished it then finished Seperate Ways, then finished Assignment Ada, then finished The Mercenaries before I started to kill everything with a knife.

Depends what is unlocked with the multiple replays/sub quests
If they are just extra powerful weapons / costumes / art gallery then no.
If multiple replays are required to acces the highest dificulty then yes.

it depends.... if a game makes it worth it to finish the entire game. like god of war series does. even though i cant beat god mode in GoW or titan mode on GoW2. most games dont make it worth it to beat it 100%. Like bully for example. i beat the game and just had to collect 6 more rubber bands. but why would i go look for rubber bands if all you get is a ball to throw at people. pointless. so usually i just beat the game

I usually just complete the storyline on my pace on the first time so I don't ruin the story's 'rhythm', and then after I finished it once (and if the game was good, of course), I go for all of the extras, unlockables, 100%... you get the idea.

It just really depends on how fun the actual game is. If I enjoy a game Ill just play and play and play untill I fully complete it (dont attempt getting 100% on grand turismo 2 though.) but if I didnt enjoy it that much Ill just skip side quests and get it over as son as possible.

Sure, any game that I play I would try to run through the extra bits etc.

After that, I would look through the manual to see if I'd missed any extra bits. Sometimes they would necessitate replaying.

The only game that is a bit 'different' from that is Final Fantasy, where so much is hidden behind the scenes, that it makes reading the manual almost necessary.

I dunno, maybe I'm just compulsive, but I NEED to know everything.

Just my 2cents worth!

Folly.

yeah i complete the main story and whatever i can be bothered with
then when i ever run out of money (frequently) and cant buy a new game i obsessivly destroy every game i have and complete them 100%.
and incidently GT2 is not impossible to complete. it took me 18 months and i had mates doing the 24 hour races in shifts when i went to work. it is possible. just not recommended if you like your girlfriend or family speaking to you.on the flipside, i can now do the nurenburg ring in my 1964 etype jag in six and a half minutes. BOOYEAH

i never read the manual unless im completely stuc.
i like seeing whethr the learning curve is ok and if the ingame help is up to it. often a good indicator to gameplay quality is how intensive the ingame help is. the more help, the better the game.

I try to get 100% of a game before I beat the final boss just because once I beat the game I rarely pick the game back up. Once I beat a game the fun of it kinda goes to the wayside knowing the plot and everything.

Same here.

I don't know why I lose my interest on a game after I beat it except for GTAs, MGS3, and RE4. I don't finish a game ASAP. As much as possible I want every game I play to last at least 3 weeks. If I know the game is short I don't play it everyday. I beat GoW1 in 11-12 hours but it took me 3 weeks because like I said I don't play a short game everyday. :)

I try to take my time with everygame, but some of the extra things are pretty tedious to bother going 100%. Once I finish it or get bored, I'll stop playing.

if available i do side quests until i cant but seeing as elder scrolls has a million of them i tend to trade off between side quests and the main story ill say 70-30% ratio...that is if the games is really worth it

i usually play through and do things that drift from the quest just to see if i can find sumthin by accident or whatever may come up. but i try to complete with doing side quests if you can find them all. theres a certain joy to knowing u did everything and got the strongest weapon or strongest character ya know

I like trying to 100% every game. I hate it when the side stuff is over 50% of the game.

Everyone is gonna say "depends on the game" and that is true
