DVD and Games won't load WTF?!

I try to play Socom 3, but it will cut me out in 10 minutes.

I try to play DVDs, but they skip every two seconds.

I've tried ten DVDs, and they all skip.

One peculiarity: While S3 craps up, Gran Turismo 4 works fine.

What's wrong with my PS2?

try cleaning the lens, a good cleaner with a q-tip should work
