As the title reads i want to make a conlcusion of the best games or worth playing games for playstation2 now that we moved on to the next gen ( well not me but the industry :p )

So what are the games for you that are WORTH playin and REMEBER. Keep it high standards people. Mine are ( from what i cane remeber and own)

Metal Gear Solid 2 ( very epic , twisted plot )

MGS3 ( I loved this one magnificent  realistic with epic music, twisted plot )

Gran Turismo 3 ( sun shining on my car...)

GT4 (

Devil May Cry 1 (oh unforgetable...)

DMC3 ( more detailed but not as epic as the first..)

Final Fantasy X ( i will purcgase FFXII in the near future)  ( as of FFX it was deeply kept inside of me after i finished it, very addictive , cool game.....)

God Of War ( I will soon buy GOW2) ( nice graphics and mythical backround )

ICO

Shadow Of Colossus ( just like a fairy tale only you could interact... epic! )

Silent Hill

Resident Evil 4

Okami

Grand Theft Auto III

GTA:Vice City ( the songs and action of this one comes back in mind time after time when i hear the classic songs... and then comes a wierd but nice feeling together :) ... _

GTA:San Andreas

Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time ( i like the envirorments and the adventure, it filled the gap that Tomb Raider did with this gen )

Killzone

You can comment please so you give an idea as of why you made the choice. Thanks for participating.

Man I am not going to participate in this thread for one reason. PS2 has so many great games its just too tough to mention every one that deserves to be in the history  books.

Shadow of the Colossus, GOW 1 and 2, POP - Warrior Within, Burnout 3 - Takedown, Black (awesome FP Shooter). The list could go on! But I shall refrain!

medal of honour frontline. It was one of the best launch games and still holds its own today.

Final Fantasy XII. Was a brave move going into a more real time combat system and has one of the best graphic engines on ps2.

Lord of the Ring ROTK. I know Im going to be slaughtered for adding this but I believe its one of the best slash em ups ever made.

and finally (for the moment) WRC3. One of the best (if not THE best) rally games on ps2. Really introduced me to the true power of ps2.

The first two games i bought for my PS2 back then was accidently DMC1 and MOH:Frontline... :p It was a very nice experience to enter the generation. Yes indeed Frontline was magnificent at its time... As of FFXII I will find out next month propably... I can't wait anymore for it :)

A game that I loved was Indigo Prophecy. It was really fun because it was sort of like controlling a movie. I am pretty sure it is one of the only games with that style of gameplay. I stayed up all night playing when I first bought it. Also DQ8, really fun rpg, and The Warriors which I think is the best beat-em-up game ever. There are way too many for me to list so I'll just add those.

The essential platformers are the entire Ratchet and Clank series and the entire Sly Cooper series.

RPG  All three Final Fantasies X, X-2, and XII, throw in the Xenosagas and Dark Cloud 1 and 2.

Sports  Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and 4 as well as NFL 2k3 (the hardest sports game I have ever played, you literally have half a second to find the open man on a lot of pass plays)

Action San Andreas and God of War Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3

I have stuck with exclusives (at least at the time of release) save for the sports games but I doubt that a sports game exclusive to one console would be worth playing.

In my opinion these are games that almost anyone would enjoy and a feather in any PS2 owners cap.

me again with more suggestions for the list!

Timesplitters 1 & 2: A cool FPS with the best split-screen multiplayer money can buy AND an easy to use map maker.

black: Proves you dont need the power of ps3 for destructive enviroments!

Dark chronicle (aka dark cloud 2) I apologise if this one is in your list but this is a great real time RPG.

Peter Jacksons King Kong Official Game Of The Movie: You actually feel like you are in the movie with no health or inventory bars. Only problem with it though is its quite short.

I thnk thats about it really.
